"I haven't been able to figure out what is causing that problem, but others have been experiencing it as well. I think it may be a problem with the connection to the Amazon API. It's very difficult to debug, because it is so intermittent."

"Back in the day (late 80s/early 90s), I used to simply refer to them as MODs. Purple Motion (Jonne Valtonen) of the demo group Future Crew was one of my favorite artists. Tim, you should do a post about running old-school DOS demos on your PC. :-D"

"Be careful with messing around with CompizConfig. If you enable any modules that conflict with Unity, all hell can break loose. When I messed things up, the best way to restore it was to: 1) Disable Unity in CompizConfig 2) Log into virtual terminal 1 (ctrl+alt+F1) and run unity --reset 3) Renable Unity in CompizConfig and ignore all conflicts (i.e. Unity takes them back over)"

"It's been a while since I built that search, so it's quite out of date by now. Unfortunately, there's really no way to programatically determine if it is autoapprove or not."
