Microsoft MediaCenter CableCard Firmware Update Arrives – With Digital Cable Advisor - http://www.geektonic.com/2009...
Week in Review – November 8 - http://www.geektonic.com/2009...
Happy Friday to all of my followers! currently going through very long list of PopcornHour C-200 giveaway entries. Will announce winner soon
@sbrown23 right, but there's no 64bit driver for using firewire to control (change channels) on a cable box. That's what I need
When I switch from XPtoWindows 7 on my main HTPC rig,I'll be going Windows 7 32bit.Because there are currently no firewire drivers for 64bit
@evilpenguin81 So 32bit it is for me. Might even try doing this tomorrow if the leaf gathering doesn't beat me first
@evilpenguin81 do you use firewire channel changing? I depend on it, and since there is no 64bit driver-probably going with W7 32bit
Question for the MediaCenter users - are you using Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit version? And why?
Seriously considering switching out my hefty T500 Lenovo w/ coming-soon Lenovo U-150. Going from >7lbs to <3lbs & still plenty of power
@davezatz I'm jealous of that Sonos review system - on my list of wants-but not needs...

@j3g dude. he didn't delete your post - he just moved it to the appropriate forum thread. I responded to it-hopefully in a constructive way
Anyone recording the V TV series tonight? I have it set to record and plan to watch the fist few episodes to see if its any good.
that last tweet was brought to you by the bad spelling gremlin. That should have said "buy" NYTimes, not "by"... Oh well.
Google could by NYTimes. But I would argue why would they want to do that? http://newsbusters.org/blogs...

RT: @gadgetwisdom: @geektonic People still work at Blockbuster? ME: Yep. I was surprised as well, but they do still pay her :)
@tooshel :) I've never been fond of the firefly simply because of it's lack of ability to control the TV. That is the deal-breaker for me
