The @LATimes 2010 predictions -- Another turbulent year ahead for media: http://www.latimes.com/busines...
@dloehr I like it, too. Simple, crisp design with a distinct sense of occasion. My fave line: "It's like wrapping a tennis racket..."

Scientists developing an alcohol substitute that mimics a buzzed feeling without the drunkenness or hangover :: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health... #fb
@christinelu After I saw you tweet about that yesterday, I dug up my Grandma's recipe for it. Truly, an unsung hero of the pie world.
@ischafer Well, Apple branding or not, I'm a first generation iGenn. ;)
@Illig Aw, go on. :) I'm sort of on the fringe of early adopter. I want the 1st gen but won't camp out overnight for it or pay double price.
@TheLoneOlive @ischafer ... from a creative, cultural and technological standpoint.
@TheLoneOlive @ischafer iPad seems more on brand so I'm inclined to agree, but iSlate has deeper implications Apple may want to explore.

Interesting commentary by @THR -- Why Apple can't kill cable TV: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr...
@SteveIsaacs I wish they'd stop reporting (read: recycling) 90% of the 'news' they post. Hope Apple releases a supply that meets the demand.
@Illig Me either, but by the time the fanbois and grrls line up to get theirs, I probably won't behold one till Spring.
@brianspaeth You and me both. I've had the Droid for a little over a week and I'm in geek heaven. More gadgets, please. ;)
The iSlate — is it really happening? Apple poised to start new year with launch of tablet computer :: http://www.guardian.co.uk/technol... #iwant
@TheLoneOlive Yep, that's the official term (& spelling) for the years 2000-2009. It was a play on the 'eighties' b/c 'aught' means 'zero.'
@GoKustom Thanks! And I agree. Restructuring the Hollywood machine is sorely needed. Archaic business models must evolve or it will implode.
I usually don't like top 10 lists, but must admit I'm really enjoying all of the decade in review posts. The aughties have been a wild ride.
@GoKustom Love the spirit but not sure we need to destroy Hollywood to advance indies! ;) Just need new distro models & digital embracement.
5 Best Branded-Entertainment Deals of 2009 - only 1 branded web series listed. Let's shoot for more case studies in 2010. http://adage.com/madison...
@micahstephens No question. I'm referring more to fan-to-fan communities extending film's reach via their participation with/around content.
@NoRestrictions Much as I love digital tools, [most] films aren't as powerful on the web. Big screen to compel; small screen to interact.
@micahstephens Theatre viewing compels & spurs desire to interact but engagement occurs via other channels when fans connect around content.
@micahstephens Agree 100% & the web allows filmmakers to cultivate communities around their content --> broader reach / deeper engagement.
