Three fellow Army Reserve Chaplain Candidates should be knocking on my door any minute. Tomorrow is our first day to drill with the 102nd Training Division. Hooah!
I'm so impressed with God. He takes our worst failures and darkest fears and some how fashions them into something fabulous.

My son is sorting dirty sliveware and explaining to me the RIGHT way to load the dishwasher... Now Sarah is giving me cooking tips... I appreciate their helpful independence... but I could do without the condescending Home Ec lessons.
Going to go pick um my little man. Hope he had a good day at school.
WOW! It's beautiful outside.
I haven't seen my keys since Friday. 15 years ago, I would have went to the preschool Sunday School class at People's Church and asked Kyla L. Smith to pray I found them.
Mmmm... Chicken Soup.
I hate it when I say things I shouldn't. I shouldn't be allowed to use sarcasm [or online social networks] when I'm sick, tired or upset.
Jeremiah is going to school today and Sarah is staying home with a fever of 102.9. She nearly killed me with her whining this morning until I let her know that I was throwing up half the night... she decided to be nice to me, since I might feel worse than she does.
School nurse called. Sarah had a temp of 103. I had to go pick her up, she had a cute little blue mask on her face... so she could keep her germs to herself. Guess this cancels a few of my appointments in Springfield tomorrow...
Going to sleep and planning on sleeping in. These kids don't need to go to school tomorrow they need to go to a doctor...
Sarah just told Joel, "You didn't have me in your belly! Mommy did, so I love her more!" Yeh... I win.
9 years ago a man ran over Joel Maxwell's legs with a car on purpose. We didn't know if he'd ever walk again. Two years ago, his leg hurt so bad, we thought his military career was over. This morning, he ran 26.2 miles.
Got home and slept until the moment we had to leave to go to church. Got kids in car, raced to St. Robert, discovered that my little guy was sick. We stuck around for 2 or 3 songs then had to leave. Poor little guy was coughing too much and looked pathetic. I'm taking him to the doc tomorrow.
At Texas Roadhouse celebrating Joel's race... Without him. He is in the car doing a phone interview for the News Leader.
He finished in 4:36:27. - http://www.flickr.com/photos...
He finished in 4:36:27.
Joel called. He passed mile 20 at around 10:15.
At the finish line, cheering for the half marathon runners. Got a while to wait for Joel. I'll update when I can.

And he's off! Joel just started his first marathon. 26.2 miles to go. We saw some great friends at the start. Fun fun! Time for breakfast.
'Running' a little late for the race. We'll make it in time though... I'll have to go back to the hotel after the start. Eat, shower, pack.
