"I've actually mentioned both Verisign PIP and Google Authenticator in the past. And made various blog posts on it over on friendsintech.com =)"

"Thanks I corrected the typo in the blog. It is meant as a toggle and assumes you want sharing off and firewall on when you leave your home."

"There are dictionary generation tools in Backtrack like Crunch. You could use it to make the dictionary output file then use that file in crowbar."
- George Starcher
"No, crowbar just takes the text file as is. You need to build your dictionary with all the permuations you need before you use the file with crowbar. The tool is not a dictionary generator, it just uses whatever file you feed it."

"Thanks Jim. I am just hoping that the new policy on sandboxing App Store programs does not send Apple Script into the trash heap. It can be really powerful and helpful."

"If you check the readme or previous posts you will find all I am doing is calling the command line utility built into OSX. Crowbar just makes it a smoother automation. Due to file locks while the login is being tried there is no real way I can speed it up. There are a number of tools out there that can generate dictionaries. Such as crunch in backtrack."

"I don't believe there is a system wide key. You would simply have to issue duplicates of the key to each user. For server to server automated processes folks tend to generate a key with no passphrase as that avoids interaction needing a password. The risk is if someone gets the keyfile they can log in so you have to lock it down and monitor access logs etc tightly."

"It had nothing to do with being too good. I was admittedly tired and rushed. I won't go into personal details as to why. My error was in letting it show. For that I apologize. It is not easy to be on game every single time. Also you are entitled to your opinion and point of view. Though I agree my letting my state show was not helpful. Neither is talking about throwing stuff helpful or constructive."

"Microwaves typically make broad interference on the whole 2.4 band I think. Sounds like the shielding on your Microwave is not up to snuff if there is a distance of more than 5 feet. But the airport express that is directly above (within a foot) our microwave does same thing when it is running. But shifting channels between 1, 6 and 11 are your best bet till one is most stable. Also hold Option key when mousing down the Airport icon in your menu bar next to the clock. If you hold the opt it will display detected channel information of other networks."

"You are misreading it. You should add the exact text: include "/opt/syslog-ng/etc/splunk.conf" as a line under the sources section in the syslog-ng.conf file This is like an include header in a snort rules or even a programming language file in c where you do something like <include header.h=""></include>"

"Yeah works fairly well when you don't have hardware on hand. Now if I could just find a good tutorial on distributed john the ripper setup. Want to update and test the tutorial for that as alternative to DNA."
