I'm a Chicagoland librarian who likes 2.0 tech, Macs, non-fiction, music, videogames and movies. I've been crapping all over the internet since the early 90s!
RT @macworld: Apple improved music players & cell phone. Why shouldn’t it do the same thing with printers? http://www.macworld.com/article...
Of libraries that tweet, if you read the list of followers and find the very first one, that's gonna be the person who does library Twitter
Gonna have to offer a class on LInkedin just so I can figure out how to really use the thing.
Bought the Seinfeld box set at Amazon in anticipation of giving it to someone for xmas, but may just keep it myself.
Couldn't stand the dubbing of Django's voice, so I switched over to the Italian - normally don't mind dubbing for spaghetti westerns
@skokielibrary Once again I will emphasize how desperately downtown Skokie needs a Starbucks.
Debating whether to set-up my new iMac from my Time Machine, or clearing off all the crap and starting off somewhat fresh.
I hope that this Rick Morrissey shift to the Sun Times will not mean that I have to see more of Steve Rosenbloom.
Poor John Kass. Boo hoo.
RT @ToddKane: Portishead Know It's Christmas... New Song Doubles as a Benefit for Amnesty International... http://www.thedailyswarm.com/headlin...
Really liked Funny People, but it definitely could have had 10 minutes cut out of it somewhere.
Would be really happy if the wife would find her way downstairs so I could start this effing movie.
Squeezebox is working and is pretty awesome (or will be when I have more than As and Bs burned) - hope it stays stable.
@AriT93 Actually, I google gershbec and get your livestream too...what's up with that?
Ready to spend a long frustrating evening getting my Squeezebox duet to work.
@techfun This came up cuz I asked my hosting co. to change from multiple domains pointing to a 301 redirect for some googlish reasons.
Is there any reason why i would prefer to have multiple domains pointing to a site rather than a 301 redirect to a single site name?
@techfun I have, but it still sees it as 2 diff. urls, plus Google recommends 301 redirect even with preferred url.
Staff is amused that I am sending pictures of myself to my Facebook and Twitter, but I knew that you'd all want to see my new haircut. #fb
@techfun They responded that we didn't need to do this. My response will be that we PREFER to do this (unless there is a reason we shdnt)
We changed our url years ago and rather than having multiple addresses, I'd like to have a 301 redirect point to a single url. Right?
