"Argh... Disqus just ate my comment! Anyway.... I've said the same thing so often, we are talking about people, we are talking about lives and at the end of the day if you're point of view leads to or abets a form of oppression than we need to take a serious look at it. I talked about this to some extent in this post: http://blog.gideonaddington.com/2008... Part of the problem is, of course, that Christians (and quite often conservatives) who are oppressing people often try to turn that argument around (and have become quite good at it) and act like they are being oppressed! So we do have to respond, we do have to react but we must try to respond lovingly and kindly - but respond we must. Silence only helps the oppressor, never the oppressed... or as Desmond Tutu says: “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate..." - Gideon Addington

Great overview of the techtonic shifts happening in whatever you want to call it in one post: Music 2.0, Music Technologies online, mp3 tech online, piracy vs. creative commons "sharing". It is good to see how the tech developers think of music through your writing for those of us who spend their lives on learning, composing, recording music. Tech or sink, it seems now. Pandora has always served me best for finding new music... Last.fm hardly ever presents me with decent new music, and I've tried most of those other services to poor results. I tend to agree that I like the analytics to come up with my suggestions, my friends have terrible taste in music! I've been trying to get idiomag working since I read this article... And after using 4 different browsers in two virtual machines, I'm not having any luck. - Gideon Addington from FriendFeed MT Plugin
