"I'm about 10 months in now with no real cable. I didn't cut the cord completely. I downgraded to the cheapest cable possible ($10 a month) but now even that seems pointless since I got my HD antenna. I have a Tivo HD in the living room with Netflix streaming and the ability to purchase movies from Amazon. I have a server called pyTivo running on a Vista Machine to serve up downloaded files on the fly. Sometimes I'm in the mood for cable news (or news shows) and I can easily watch because most of the them have video podcasts (I use Juice to download the shows). I use an Xbox 360 in the bedroom to stream Netflix, downloaded files (by using Windows Media Player sharing), and MCE (the XBox works as an extender).
