Check this out: It programs for you. Hey, our jobs can be eliminated!

It even comes with a case of MAGIC - a Database system that's infinitely scalable, automatic application design, creation and documentation... It can even make applications look like they're running on Windows Vista!
- Alex Conner
Jesse: yup, Wordpress.com has six million blogs as of May 2009 and is growing quickly, so that's a lot of blogs that just got RSS Cloud.
- Robert Scoble
Robert: Are you going to be at the rsscloud meetup this week with camera in hand?
- Jeremy Felt
I guess Alex Conner of (Geekery For Rent- @gk4r ) and I are disruptive because we worked on a site that has to launch this Wednesday. :)
- Melanie Reed
Robert - great blog post - CNN are you listening?
- Susan Beebe
I got a quote and bought homeowner's insurance on Labor Day. Hey, GEICO was open so why not?
- Morton Fox
Jeremy: not sure I'll get there. Will try. Too much to fit into one week!
- Robert Scoble
Robert: Cool. I'm thousands of miles away, trying to find a way to get audio/video. :)
- Jeremy Felt
OK, I have to give here props on that one! Happy Birthday Steve Jobs ...and many more!
- Michael Fidler
Haha! Amazing, I could totally see @ishkid doing something like that... I also love th old man in the background giving her a crazy look :-P
- Alex Conner
Agreed. Someone at nFrame recently asked if they could use Subversion to keep track of VMWare images, actually. I wish VMWare exposed the file system in a manner that would make that sensible... well, if not sensible, at least possible.
- Miles Z. Sterrett
Someone should create a virtual punching bag.

brush away the hate, brush away the hate (I'm doing the dance move while typing this...next up, the lawn mower)...
- David
Can someone define here in what context they mean "hate"? If I say I hate injustice or I hate the effects of poverty, I am following the injunction "Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.."(Romans 12:9) We may think this irrelevant but my concern is the problem both Lewis and Orwell describe about the imprecision or misuse of language in our culture today. It's growing and causing more, not less of the problem in unity.
- Melanie Reed
That's where geek translators come in handy, someone who can understand the tech well enough on the backend but is capable of translating it into real world language and uses for everyone else.
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
This is why business models are important... What problem are you solving? For whom? How will they use it? How will they pay for it? The answers to those questions make the geeky cool the useful and profitable.
- Brian Roy
I have been saying this a lot lately. As cool as some of this stuff is, who is going to use it besides us? Yahoo Pipes is really cool too. But if I have trouble using it, who is it really for?
- Rob Diana
Scrapplet is geeky. No question! But there will always be room for cutting edge experimentation, and for people to write about it. I am hoping that today's Scoble stil is intrigued by such things and hasn't given in to the "business models and profits" crowd. Let "those people" write about "that stuff".
- Louis Gray
Something I forgot to add to my previous comment: Sometimes you need to start out geeky because usability is not an easy thing. Going geek and just building features is what we are good at. Once that settles down, the usability is a little easier to deal with.
- Rob Diana
Let's say you are artist, or writer, or sculptor. Wouldn't it be exciting to be in Left Bank of Paris in the early 1900s, the Crazy Years, along with the likes of Picasso and Matisse? It seems strange to argue for going to Facebook because there are more people or arguing against tech just because it's not for mass consumption. Mediocrity is the goal because it has a higher hit count?
- Todd Hoff
I'm not sure I understand something. Scrapplet is bad because the developer can't convince anyone but geeks how cool it is? Isn't that exactly what people like Scoble are for?
- Mr. Gunn
commenting on this from inside your scrapplet mashup. and the FF live feed works too.
- Richard pancakhaus Walker
But Scrapplet IS geeky! And empowering AND frustrating!!!! Thanks for everyone's feedback -- 'cause it only gets better from here! Now, the real trick is to demonstrate just how fast cool stuff evolves when the technology part of it is built right from the start.
- Steve Repetti
Oddly enough, I don't think it's that great a CAPTCHA for a computer.
- Rob Haas
OMG - I was trying to figure out a compound interest problem last night and the formula look a lot like this. I would FAIL BAD on this CAPTCHA.
- Martha
I think the answer's 0 despite what the math whizzes in the thread say.
- Jim: Dead Like FF
Jim, once you hit calculus, the answers are all either zero or infinity. :-)
- Ladybug Heather
My son has dyscalculia, and I worry about math-based captchas for this reason. There is always someone who is being excluded by these tests of our humanity!
- Patricia F. Anderson
If you're not good at math, you probably won't be signing up for a Quantum Random Bit Generator Service.
- Rob Haas
Actually, it's a trick question. The answer is "mandatory".
- vijay
14. ... 7*6 cos (6x) - 7*4 (sin 7x + pi/2) at x = 2pi ... and cos (multiples of 2 pi) = 1, sin (multiples of 2 pi) = 0, sin (multiples of 2 pi + pi/2) = 1, so ... 7*6 - 7*4 = 14
- Mitchell Tsai
I'm glad I forgot how to do this kind of math soon after I graduated!
- Craig Eddy
Just found out I'm not human :(...Cannot answer the darn thing! :)
- Joel Reyes
@Joel. I think that's the point. If you get the correct answer, you're obviously not a human!
- Scott of Two Countries
Can't I just copy and paste that into Maple or Mathematica?
- Robin Barooah
Do you think you need prove that you are a human ?
- xuzepei
@Scott,just my humor :). I think @ Mitchell has the answer :)
- Joel Reyes
Well.....I can't solve it. I'm not human either.
- J. D. Ebberly
Oh my, this means people need to have at least a Calculus background! What happens for those who have forgotten calculus? Perhaps someone is or has worked on an automatic math bot that can read and answer this?
- Alvin
After about five refreshes you get a simple addition/multiplication problem.
- Rob Haas
lovely :) i wish there were more CAPTCHAs like this...! internet would become an esoteric gathering of excessively bright and resourceful humans!!
- Hayk H.
Typing in 0, 14 or mandatory???? really Hayk :)
- Roberto Bonini
