not grokking the logic behind twitter's new homepage, which as a user one must logout to interact w/, how is this useful?

i guess this would be the first phase in a more complete redesign. but still makes the UE so disconnected and more confusing to new users who come to twitter for the 1st time

Agree it disconnects UE & provides no value to existing user For new users I do think it's an improvement. It may be confusing, but the tagline and search will give them a better first interaction and potentiality help acquire the folks saying “I just don’t have anything to say.”
