Do either of you know much about setting up a wireless network? I got a new computer and am trying to set this thing up, my laptop and xbox 360 can get to the internet, but My "office" PC cannot see or share with any of the other hardware....I'm so confused!!!!
I'm not good at sharing, so I avoid that ;-) Is the router new? If so, there may be a "upnp" setting on the admin web page for your router that can be enabled. I think that's the protocol used by xbox and others to share things like media files. If it's just the PC that's new, then maybe make sure they are all set up for the same 'workgroup'... just a guess.

The computer is brand new and the router is new also. 'upnp' is enabled.

Does your "office pc" see the wireless network?
- Terry Geiger
The Linksys EasyLink Advisor shows the home PC, but the link is "red" while the others are "green". Also from the Network selection from the Home PC only shows a local connection.

Local connection as in ethernet only? Do you have wireless enabled on the office pc? If so, does the wireless NIC on your PC see available wireless neworks?
- Terry Geiger
Yes, ethernet only. I thought I did, but I'll have to check when I get home tonight. What is NIC stand for?

Just saw this article about a free desktop sharing app. If you want to give it a try tonight I can take a look at your settings. Gimme a call after about 7:30 (kids should be in bed by then) http://lifehacker.com/5243257...

NIC is "Network Interface Card" aka the Ethernet port.
