I've installed the latest VirtualBox, downloaded Chrome OS, set it up, booted it but when I log in with my Gmail account it says 'Network not connected and offline login fail'.

Close then reopen your browser.

I had the same problem. Closed all windows then booted Virtualbox and it worked.
