You know why religion infringes on my happiness? I have to wake up on a Sunday morning at 7am to sit through a mass and watch some old guy throw water at a 1year old or risk alienating my bf's side of the family. Really, sit through a mass? And apparently the bf is "part of the ceremony" we just found out!

I have a bad feeling it's going to be similar to a recent funeral I went to. Cold, dull, and way too long. At least I know I wont burst into flames or set anything on fire walking through the door.

Ok it was boring, but it wasn't so bad (also wasn't Catholic!). The pastor was one of those goofy guys that doesn't take things too seriously. The Sunday School kids were at the service for the beginning and when they did the baptism. I didn't do any singing along, or promise to raise my nephew in the glory of god, or whatever. I do mouth along to the Lord's Prayer though, it freaks out the boy and I like the poetry of it.
