Green brief #13 29 June: Human chain was planned in Tehran. Police dispersed the crowd. Unconfirmed reports of clashes. Virtually all communications were cut, including landlines (1st time). Electricity reported out to. Larijani said CNN gave protesters money & cellphones - called unrest unimportant. 2 former Interior Ministers requested several investigations. Bijan Khajehpour (economist) arrested. Other arrests confirmed. Human rights groups say over 2000 people arrested, describe deplorable prison conditions, especially for women. Amnesty Int'l expressed concern for the potential torture of political leaders arrested. Ahmadinejad called for investigation into the "suspicious" muder of Neda. AThe partial recount of votes was completed and ahmadinejad's victory was announced on State TV.Only 11 countries congratulated Ahmadinejad on his victory. The office of the Islamic Association of Sistan and Baluchestan University was set on fire by anonymous people today. The office is a hotbed of reform student activity. Minister of Information told Mousavi he was creating problems, and that his path on the election has no end. 5 of 9 british diplomats were released today. the rest are still held.
