Beware Scraped Comments And Fake Trackbacks - http://wassupblog.com/beware-...
"I can understand that people may steal content because they are to stupid to write their own article but, how freakin hard is it to write a comment? That’s kind of like the idiots that think they can copy & paste a few phrases from your post & then say “I agree”. Oh now that’s a useful comment. But, I think that comes from people who delete comments that are only a few words so the spammer elongates his comment. I would not allow trackbacks. If someone is giving you a link & sending their readers to your post, they should not expect a link back via trackback. They should link to you because they feel your article is useful. Extreme Advertising By Reebok – Better Legs And A Better Butt With Every Step - http://extremeezine.com/better-...
"Ok I’ve had it! Look at all the comments just because you have some ladies butt on your page. I think it’s unfair! I’m an ass everyday & don’t get this kind of attention. I did go buy….not the shoes. The shoes would never get worn so, I see no point in spending the money on them. What I bought was an elliptical machine. I am going to prove that flip flops can give you just as nice of a butt as those ugly shoes! See Reebok failed in part of this ad. I had saw the ad before & thought “dang, I want a firm butt”. What I never knew was what kind of shoes they were selling to get that butt. Without looking again…what is the make of the shoes? Reebok what? How can I go into a store & tell them I am looking for ‘Reebok firm butt when you walk shoes’? Marketing boys, they over did the idea of the nice butt & forget to implant the name of the shoe with the butt. Sheryl Loch´s last blog ..Myths about Building an Online Community" - TIMG Blog Co-Op

A Blogger’s Opinion Is Highly Valued - http://wassupblog.com/a-blogg...
"Ok Sire, I have to get my banner. I have the link to Cool Blog Links in my list. I won’t say what I think the problem with people is…I don’t want to piss off your readers. LOL! 2010 is the year that collaboration is going to become a must. I suggest all of us “not quite A listers” stick together & help push each other. The big guys won’t do anything for us because they are AFRAID! There is power in numbers & we just keep building up our “blog Army” to take over the top. Yes, that all sounds great but, actually, I just need help lifting my fat butt up the rungs of the ladder that leads to the top. ;) Sheryl Loch´s last blog ..Myths about Building an Online Community" - TIMG Blog Co-Op

@Sheryl Thanks for that Sheryl. I'm hoping I can add details and a link for each photo. I've tried three WP plugins so far and none did exactly what I wanted for an album and random sidebar display. Right now I'm working on the same one that Extreme John uses but it's giving me a hard time. I'll have more time to play with it after tomorrow. @Brad Sounds like a fun time Brad. You know how much I love animals. You've been rubbing shoulders with a lot of cool people lately and learning a lot. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us on the Guild. Thanks for the photos, that is a big help so I can get the pictures rotating on my blog. I didn't have enough to bother rotating before you guys took that generous trip - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Finally Figured Out a Leverage Engine - http://theinternetmarketersguild.com/viewtop...
I don’t always have great ideas. In fact many of my ideas suck. So, I watch for other peoples ideas & if they sound good, I give them a whirl. Mind you I see or hear good ideas all the time but, I find that some just don’t sink in. For some reason or another I just can’t get the jest of it or maybe part of the mechanics of how it works just baffles me. That is when I just shove the link (info) over to the side & save it to look at again. Today I am gonna share with you one of those great finds that just didn’t click when I first saw it. Um, it is super easy & I feel a bit stupid for not figuring it out months ago. Dan Thies sent out a video & PDF when he launched his Link Liberation program. The video & PDF are how to build a Leverage Engine. I watched the damn vid & read the PDF several times & understood how it would work to help your site yet, I just couldn’t figure out a way to do it. What I did know is that the Blog Co-Op is in a way like a Leverage Engine or Index Driver. So, I... - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Get Extreme! Last night We ventured down to the Las Vegas Strip again, The highlight of the evening was the Tweet up at the Las Vegas Hilton by Peter Arceo the Executive Director of Marketing for the Las Vegas Hilton. Peter is a totally awesome guy, his job it to promote and market the Las Vegas Hilton. Again here is another successful person that sees the value of helping and promoting others to accomplish goals his effortlessly. It is a shame that the mainstream population of the world has no idea that when you passionately help others around you succeed. It is true the more you give the more you get many times over. A vision to fulfill a need to help animals that are here locally with an anipal Tweet up was brought to the table last night very cool. How about a bigger vision? "Hey John, I have never been to AA but, I worked as a bartender & had a lot of the people stop in after the meetings. That same bar had the telephone number that was 1 digit different than the AA #. Oh man did that mess with people when they called at night. Normally when I answered the other end would be yelling that they really wanted a drink & needed help. For along time I had no idea they were calling for AA help & would tell them to come on down we were serving until 1:30am. Finally 1 night a guy from AA came in & told me that it was not funny that I was screwing up peoples lives. After him going off on me for a bit, I did finally get figured out he was talking about the phone calls & the issue with the number. Neither place would change their phone number so, I just figured if they called & got me then they were suppose to be “tested”. I did not have time to sit & chat to figure out if they had called the right number. I will say that I did have customers that stopped drinking..." - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Well, I just read to articles saying that MyBlogLog is closing in January. ReadWriteWeb AND Search Engine Land I can say that it will not really be any big loss to me if it closes. I just wonder if Blog Catalog is far behind? I sure don't know anyone that uses Blog Catalog anymore. It's full of trash & blogspot. That would make me think that it would not be worth their money to keep it open...Unless they think that all the MyBlogLog people will rush over there. Sheryl - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Ahhhh Brian, When you visit the Las Vegas Strip, you visit the world. The 1st pic is rubber ducky on our picnic table. He has been wearing that wig ever since he found out that Donald Trump has one just like it. Ducky hopes to one day have his own Ducky Trump Towers in Vegas. Pic #2 when driving down the Strip you see all kinds. Notice the girl on the corner wearing HUGE black wings? Not sure what she was doing but, it was something you don’t see every day. The 3rd pic is part of the new City Center Towers. They look like they are leaning… The next couple are also taken from City Center. We were standing right next to the new Beso restaurant (it was not open, they were just getting the patio furniture delivered). You can see the free tram running in 1. The short piece of video with the red & yellow flowers is inside Crystals at City Center. They don’t have many shops open yet. I guess that did sound a little strange lol My laptop uses a Verizon wireless adapter for an internet connection and there's something about my house that wont let it work inside. It just wont get a signal unless I take it outside. I use a wireless router for our desktop and if I were more technologically talented I could probably make it work from the router but I don't want to change the setting on the laptop. I use the laptop in my truck when I find a few minutes of free time which is almost never lately. It looks like you went to New York too? - TIMG Blog Co-Op

You went outside to boot up your laptop? Just wondering if it runs on gas and you need to fire it up outside because of the carbon-monoxide? Does that model need an emissions check every year? I'm not 100% happy fist my first video, but I do have a better idea what I need for raw footage and images to create better ones. Don't get me wrong I like Extreme Las Vegas! Middletown Salvation Army Distributes Toys and Meals - http://theinternetmarketersguild.com/viewtop...
Contributions from organizations like Angle Tree Program, Kiwanis, private companies and individuals have been distributed to needy people on the 18th of December in Middletown Conn. Since there are so many people out of work the demand is high, sad to say there were allot of people that were left out. At least there were 250 boys and girls that will not be disappointed this year. Food baskets are not very plentiful this year ether. It's amazing how some children understand and are willing to compromise in tough times. Defiantly a huge thumbs up to those parents for who have brought up their children this way. - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Make Your WordPress Compatible with iPhone iTouch - http://theinternetmarketersguild.com/viewtop...
I'm sure you are aware that the world is going mobile. Are you ready? How about your blog, is it mobile? If your blog isn't compatible with iPhones,iTouch....you are getting left in the dark. Yes, the dark being that mobile users can't see it, or they won't see it. While on Twitter the other night Just Julie sent out a tweet saying that she wished all the blogs she reads had WPtouch. I went to see what the heck it was, I know so little about Wordpress but, am trying to learn. WPtouch is a plug in for Wordpress that will reformat your blog for easy reading on iPhone & iTouch. This plug in does NOT do anything to your blog when read on a regular computer. It only changes the formatting when using the mobile devices. You should read the post What can WPtouch do for my blog? and also watch the short video. We installed the plug in on 1 blog to see what happened. It did NOT change any part of my blog when I looked at it on my computer. Everything was just like always...I ask Julie if she... - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Is Closing Blog Comments a Good Idea? - http://kikolani.com/closing...
"Hi Kristi, I was lucky when I only ran b2evo blogs because many of the auto spam posters only searched Wordpress. Now, they also search b2 blogs. I still have the fact that the b2 script plug in for comment luv is named something else so, I avoid those searches. I have moderated comments on most of our blogs, but 1 blog is just open with no time limits, another blog has no comments allowed. So, it just depends on the topic how I set the comments. Like Brian said it is normally the older post that get all the garbage. I even went as far as Blacklisting Blogspot & that really cut down my spam comments. It’s sad that real people that run at blogspot can’t leave their link but, the bad outweighed the good. Sheryl Loch´s last blog ..Clearing Up a Link Diversity MisConception" - TIMG Blog Co-Op

I'm sure you have all heard about Google bringing out their new URL shortner. I am trying to figure out why they did it. There are so many shortners already. Right now bit.ly seems to be running in the #1 spot. Probably due to the fact that Twitter & most apps for Twitter have put them in as default. The only time I ever use a shortning service is for Twitter. I also only click on shortened URL's in Twitter. If someone has a site & they are using a short link...Forget it, I do not click. To me it is them trying to hide something. With Twitter people are short on space so fine, but on a site there is no reason to save characters. Google's new shortening service is only accessible through their toolbar or Feedburner. What I wonder is when hell will break loose? By that I mean, if someone states that using the Google shortner is getting better pull than using another service...oh my! Can you imagine the up roar of people thinking G would favor Goo.gl links over say bit.ly? I also wonder... - TIMG Blog Co-Op

I would go for the .com Even if you may have to choose *keyword*blog or *keyphrase*info.com Just keep the keyword or phrase at the 1st part of the domain & then add an extra word. I know many people have been going with *keyword* facts, info, 4you...as the add on word. Also most people will automatically think .com if you have told them your domain name. - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Hi desperado nice to meet you. I guess I was raised that you do not ask people how much money they spent or what they bought. That has always been something that may be talked about as friends but, if they bought something that great they would likely tell me about it. Just like your example of a great restaurant, if it's that good then they will mention it, I don't need to see their bill. I wonder if a program like this will be bad for young people that may feel they "have to keep up with the Jones"? Money is already used as a way to judge peoples worth & I don't think we need to push that. Just think if Blippy started giving out their own credit cards...this could be great for them. They could charge excessive fees while people bought everything they they could just to try & impress others with their 'Blippy list'. So no, I don't see the fun in it. I just see Blippy's potential to exploit the information. Sheryl - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Have you seen the new site called Blippy? I really hope that it is a fake site that someone put up for giggles. Blippy lets you register a credit card & then will show an update every time you use it. That way people can follow you & see what you bought where & how much you spent. It is now in Beta but, I still hope it is just a site to have a laugh & not for real. Just think if Tiger Woods would have had this he may have been a little more cautious of who he bought. It says that only a few sites like Amazon, iTunes, & Zappos will show up with details but other places you spend will only show the amount spent & the name of the store. I am going to encourage all of my neighbors to get on this site..That way I will know what they are buying & if they are ordering online...I can watch their mail. If they spend $2000 at Best Buy, then I will know they finally got that new TV they were talking about. Now, where did I leave my ski mask? It would be a way to have the credit you never use on... - TIMG Blog Co-Op

Will Commenting Harm Your Blogging Success? - http://wassupblog.com/will-co...
"Sire, I am a bit confused as to how to answer this. I don’t think me commenting on other blogs really hurts MY blog to much. It might hurt the blog I am commenting on. I guess it could hurt MY blog to comment on others because not everyone likes my sense of humor. That could frighten them away. I will add that I do not always rely on Blog commenting to get out & about. There are a few forums that I am pretty active on. Still interacting just on a different script.
