The Frederick float is hopping!
I only want a flying car if it looks like this. - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
@MammaMania We do just the family pack w/ Direct TV. It only has locals and kid's channels and I think it's like $30 a month.

As metropolitan regions continued to expand throughout the second half of the 20th century their boundaries began to blur, creating a new scale of geography now known as the megaregion. Interlocking economic systems, shared natural resources and ecosystems, and common transportation systems link these population centers together. As continued population growth and low density settlement patterns place increasing pressure on these systems, there is greater impetus to coordinate policy at this expanded scale.
Interesting stuff from America 2050, a privately funded “… national initiative to meet our growing infrastructure, economic development and environmental challenges.” You can get a little more on your Megaregion of origin on the America 2050 site (they are also on Twitter). [via]
I woke up really early this morning and I couldn’t go back to sleep so I grabbed the dog and we went for a long walk in the hood. These are a couple random things we saw on the way. - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...

Anyone going to see the Frederick float tomorrow? For some reason I really want to see this - http://www.downtownfrederick.org/play...
@cgcumber Aww man, sorry to hear that.
Some nice tips for Twitter search. My favorite is the syntax for plucking links from Twitter: “[your subject of interest]” filter:links. For example: “Zombies” filter:links returns some fun linkages. [via] - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
My friend Keri has amazingly answered the question I asked about the about the TV show with a story about an odd hole. The scene I described was part of Encounter with the Unknown, a 1973 Rod Sterling joint. The video above catches the end of the segment about the hole. Thank you Keri! - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...

Snapshots encourage memories, videos replace them. After watching a video of your vacation, your memory of the vacation will be the video. - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
I need help remembering a TV show I saw a long time ago - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
I forgot I took this while camping at the beach. The clouds were phenomenal. Turns out there was a tornado warning that day. - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...

“FEED is a book about politics, corruption, presidential campaigns, journalism, integrity, escapism, the traditional news media, and how Livejournal saved the world from the living dead.” Sounds like a good book. - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
I saw this photo of a hole by Daneil Augschöll and it reminded me of an old TV show I saw. In the show a pit opens up outside a small rural town. Smoke bellows forth, odd sounds emanate, animals act crazy around it. The townsfolk decide to lower a man down int to the pit to check it out. After he furiously tugs on the rope they pull him back up.... - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
View an ant at 400 times it’s normal size. Very cool. Make sure you check out the snapshots along the bottom. Much cooler than my close-up photo of an ant. [via] - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
Anyone watch fireworks in #frederick in a location other than baker park? We usually watch from the hospital parking deck.
I was trying to get a shot of a firefly lighting up. It refused to perform for me. - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...

It’s good to see Chubb Rock coming out with a new album. For old times sake here is a really low quality You Tube video of a Chubbster classic: Just the Two of Us. - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
So I almost blew myself up lighting my grill. I should really not be allowed to play with fire. The dog seemed to enjoy it though.
Santa if you are reading my blog I would like a Ripsaw all-terrain vehicle for Christmas. Also, a RoboteX in my stocking would be nice to. - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
I really dig Springfeild Punx’s Simipsonification of the Ghostbuster characters. Kinda related is BLDGBLOG’s idea for the next Ghostbusters movie. IMDB has the next Ghostbusters coming out in 2012 and for some reason I’m actually looking forward to even though the possibility of sucking is rather high. [via] - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
Hype Machine has published a list of bands they believe were trying to game their system and I have never heard of any of them. It wouldn’t surprise me if they all have the same management group. [via] - http://guy.tumblr.com/post...
