Still poking around, but wanted to get it out there to start publicizing: My branding site - http://SeanLoyless.com

I'm still working on it, so it's definitely WIP. I need to add an extensive portfolio section and really beef up the "About" page more. - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Comments, opinions, suggestions. All welcome. - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
That is a very attractive layout and easy to navigate. Can I ask if that's a standard theme or modified? - Jack (a.k.a. Jeber)
How dare you use purple? - Mo Kargas
@Jack It's completely custom. I don't use pre-rendered themes. I am a WordPress Ninja - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
@Mo What's wrong with purple? :D - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
I HATE PURPLE! DONT U SEEEE?! - Mo Kargas
Nah it's good, I'm not sure about the deviantart portfolio link...I half expect to see furries when I see DA - Mo Kargas
@Mo Hehehe, agreed. I'm planning on switching that out once I stop being lazy and build out the portfolio page on the site. I just didn't want any broken links for now since it's being searched by Google - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
I think the site looks great, like the different tints used for different sections. Agree that the About page needs the most work. It feels more like a resume, plus a little about your growing up / formative years - think it might work better if it was more like a current, short Bio - more on what your current interests, passions, pursuits, and sorts of projects you'll take on, are. Also feels a little awkward to me that it's all in 3rd person, like when Vince Young starts talking about what Vince Young thinks of ABC subject. I think if it's clear it's you doing the writing, then say 'I grew up in Houston ...'. Just my .02 - but striking and nice to look at. - Patrick Jordan
@Patrick thanks for the feedback! Yeah I even *felt* weird writing it in the third person too. I like your suggestions about keeping it short. After I had written all of that the first thought that came to mind is "Is anyone actually going to read all this?" - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Happy to chime in with my .03 any time - especially for a fellow Texas resident (I'm not a Texan originally) even if you are in that 'other' city down there. :) - Patrick Jordan
needs comic sans! - BEX
@BEX You and me are fucking done professionally. :D - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Comic Sans and some marquee tags. For serious. - pea♥fierce as a woozle
AND GLITTER GRAFIX! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
No, no. Little hearts or snow that pool down at the bottom of the page! Pretty! - pea♥fierce as a woozle
I have some MIDI files from Final Fantasy games, I'll put those on AutoPlay and repeat. - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Oh snap. That's the hotness right there. - pea♥fierce as a woozle
AND when you're done adding all that, how about a pop-up asking for people's feedback? - pea♥fierce as a woozle
And a guestbook! Cuz EVERYONE uses those! - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
*reminds self to delete guestbook when main site redesign happens in next decade* Oh yeah! That too! *ahem* - pea♥fierce as a woozle
But you know what this really really needs? No fooling around this time: More cowbell. - pea♥fierce as a woozle
OMG, how did I miss adding cowbell? I fail as a web developer. - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
I'm going to change my background to this: http://www.needsmoarcowbell.com/ - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
When you do, sir, you will have won the whole entire internet. sigh. I can't wait to see the hit counter just go crazy with all the traffic. - pea♥fierce as a woozle
buttons and arrows! flashing arrows! - BEX
Thanks Aden! I've been using WP for about 4 years now, and have always done my own custom themes. I can never find a pre-rendered one that I like well enough. Still needs a little work, but it's fully functional. - Haggis (Sean Loyless)
