I can definitely see this happening around me. Sure, there are lots of iphones but increasingly my students are using some form of blackberry. They are text-o-maniacs but have email needs. The blackberry suits them perfectly. And all the Canadian carriers are pushing them (whereas the only carrier pushing iphone is rogers/fido and they are "conflicted" because of their strong bbery sales).

Had to remember my FF password to comment :). I've noticed how many of the new class are BB rather than iPhone users. Many are privileged kids--price is no object--but they want the keyboard.

Using a webcam and flash, we’ve taken our Papervision character from the desktop to the desk. A new and exciting way to interact with your flash content. The possibilities are wide open.

Of course, no one seems to know what the Semantic Web is either. Just because it lacks a definition doesn't make it worthless. I can define it easily: 1. W2.0 = every new design pattern since 2006, and a handful from before; 2. W2.0 = Sociable websites.

Access the world's largest collection of social science research data here by searching across or browsing through one of the virtual data archives (called "dataverses") listed below. You may also create a dataverse of your own which may easily be customized to appear as if it is on your web page, but in fact is served by the IQSS Dataverse Network. This means that all the scholarly credit, web visibility, and access control for the data devolve to you, but all the work, preservation guarantees, and software and hardware upgrades and maintenance are taken care of by IQSS.

Or... McCain's view is as developed as a Second Grader's. As fredhetz notes below, there isn't a clear indication of what we started or when it will be finished. For a while it was removing Saddam from power, but that came and went. Then "we'll stay as long as they want us," and that day is gone. Another thing you learn in second grade, if not before, is to admit when you are wrong, and not let pride alone mean the death of more and more Americans and Iraqis every day.
