I find it interesting that pretty much everyone agrees that we need to move away from oil and gasoline, yet so many people instantly discredit/ignore ANY innovations that are made because they are more expensive, ugly, or just because they don't want to be "told what to do" -.-

How people find wind turbines to be ugly is beyond me. I think that part of the aversion to solar is that the U.S. didn't capitalize on the chances they had, and are bitter that China beat us "to the punch" as far as ability/costs of manufacturing. - Chris Topher
