Jesse, hmmm...if there were to be a FriendFeed detention room/group...what would it be composed of? I suppose the most annoying components of 'social media' (for lack of a better term)...Britney tweets maybe? I know if there was Facebook detention room I would toss those darn quizzes in there..."so if you were a US President you would be John Adams huh? Imagine that..."

Idem for comments. That would make sense if you only want to subscribe to likes but not comments. Or to make "likes" appear even with FoaF entries hidden (not sure about this one). Any one tried?

It has even special UI support. I subscribed to "Shey's Likes" to test. When one of Shey's Likes appears in my feed, "(via Shey's Likes)" is added. This is different from the regular "(Shey liked this)" which would appear if I was subscribed to Shey's own feed. I can't imagine myself wanting to see someone's likes without seeing someone's post... But well.. The ability is there. :)

Jerome makes a good point. Maybe at some point in time I would want to disable FoaF entries in general. By being able to subscribe to someone's likes explicitly I could - in effect - add exceptions to that rule.
