"Ron Paul: "You know what I really fear? ... It's another Iraq coming. It's war propaganda going on," he said. "To me, the greatest danger is that we will have a president that will overreact." He likened the current situation to views of Iraq in 2003: an atomosphere of alarm without solid evidence on the question of weapons capability. "If we lived through cold war, which we did, with 30,000 missiles pointed at us, we ought to really sit back and think, and not jump the gun.... That’s how we got involved in the useless war in Iraq and lost so much." Similar to his position on Iraq back then, he voiced skepticism that Iran is close to obtaining a nuclear weapon. Paul said it's also important for US policymakers to keep the regional context in mind: Iran feels surrounded by other nations that have nuclear arms, and has seen evidence that nuclear nations get some respect. Regarding sanctions, he called them an "act of war" that could damage the European economy by diminishing the flow of oil."

One side is definitely crazy -- the side that pushed Americans into the Iraq War.

Seems to me that Mr Paul's side is never heard, in either one of the major parties in the States. In Britain, the Lib Dems were anti war, but have been muzzled by the Tories in government.

Yup -- your perceptions are correct. But in this case the Ron Paul groundswell has been so powerful that the mainstream media have had to give ground -- he is being heard to a certain degree. And many people are responding to his message against wasteful foreign wars and for civil liberties.

I doubled the $25 I was going to donate for the "Tea Party Day" Ron Paul fundraiser. Hope he gets boatloads of money to draw the public's attention to where its all headed: Under 55 and your Social Security and Medicare are on the chopping block to fund more wars on Muslims for the rest of the century, "if we survive." Berthe: Americans are going to have to pick: domestic social programs for Americans or more neocon foreign wars for Greater Israel. It's really simple. We don't have enough money to fund both projects.

Define "succeed"? Is it being bought out by larger places?

" The non-college educated person in Kansas probably won’t have a great life and a secure retirement without an education. But they, their children, and their parents probably won’t die hungry and homeless on the streets of Topeka." Rob recently told me that unemployment for people with Bachelor's degrees is about 4% while the average is 9%.Education for the "masses" will have to change if what there is for the masses to do changes.

Clare: I'd bet that many of those extra 5% of unemployed people without degrees are not likely qualified to get a college education, or necessarily many jobs either.
