My heart goes out to you, Derek. My father died ten years ago and my mother earlier this year. It's rough.

I think the one thing that a lot of people aren't realizing about the whole Miss California "controversy" is that Miss North Carolina WON, not because she gave a politically correct answer, but because she is a lot better looking and despite what some may say, isn't looking good what beauty pageants are about?

I came across this after hearing about Geek News Central on Good Clean Fun. I've never heard of Mr. Dick Cheese before this. He had the opportunity to publicize and get more "Superfans" (http://members.richardcheese.com) but instead he's made a bad first impression all in the name of protecting his IP. I guess his ego and ignorance can disappear into obscurity now.

It's funny that he is so protective because he is a cover artist. I think that he had an album of original material that failed. I could be wrong though.

As I understand it, being a "dick" is part of his act - the problem is that no one there really knew that. However, Todd is right, Cheese should have known that he was going to be filmed/pictures taken.

It's not like we didn't talk about things that mattered in the grand scheme of things. Well crafted fiction will cause you take a look at the world around you. Although after almost 90 minutes, it might have been nice if we had gotten to issue 2. :)
