Regardless, it's obvious why the word "gay" came to be used the way it has by teenagers and others and you used to sound "hip". It meant "queer, different, lame" just as homosexuals are considered the same by that group. It was not as if someone wanted another word for "lame" and gay was just picked out of thin air. You're smarter than that, and I know your smarter than to think writing that word in that way to the extremely educated users on FriendFeed/Twitter wouldn't be problematic. - Brandon Werner

I was so excited to see more of Scott McCloud's work. He does a great job of explaining why the browser is better in ways that laypeople can understand. I only found it ironic that one of the pioneers of transitioning comics into the digital realm ended up making a 32-page print comic to tout a new browser. It sounds great for power users. I was also imagining a sidebar type app that would be suggesting things to do with stuff. Meh, I think they're selling NYC short. Every city has the tourist traps and the places where thousands of people take identical photos. There's hundreds of places and neighborhoods within NYC that are underappreciated and rarely photographed well. Similarly I could make a comment about Philly and the liberty bell or the Rocky steps. The key to *any* city is to not waste too much time with the tourist traps, but rather explore and find what really makes that city unique. - Eric

I think it is my favorite city in the world to shoot and in a strange way I've always considered it home even though I've never lived there. I live about 45 minutes outside Philadelphia, and I'd add that you don't have to get very far outside the city to see some really fascinating, diverse, semi-rural landscapes. There continues to be a lot of agriculture relatively close to town, and there's a lot of history here. Checking out Chester County or Montgomery County in Flickr's maps view will give you an idea. - Nathan Rein

They provide a good service that's useful for free, but if you want to be a serious user you have to move up to pro. There's a good lesson there for all of us in monetizing a web service... Just a note to folks, don't depend on Paypal for help. If you have any significant funds in your paypal account MOVE THEM TO A BANK ACCOUNT NOW. Too many vendors have paypal grab, confiscate or hold funds and we have no recourse. Paypal is a dangerous place for money. - Soulhuntre

Cancel the billing agreement under your PayPal Profile page. Profile > Paylist > Select iTunes listing and then Cancel. Virtual goods is virtual goods, and PayPal has never covered it. However, fraudulent use of your PayPal account (spoof) is covered by law, and thus covered by PayPal. The difference is which acct was compromised. If it was the iTunes acct, then Apple owes you, not PayPal. - WazNeeni

@Bjorn, I understand what you are saying. But the question on hand is one tech blogger. So who are these tech bloggers listed above -I mean as an engineer how many of these bloggers really talk hardcore technology ? Secondly, what do they really know about how it works and the bit/byte , constructor level of ..lets say a c++ complier. What they talk about is the UI, the ways it could be used etc. They are product reviwers not tech bloggers. I'll add Dave W to tech Blogger status !! :)- - Peter Dawson

I am calling a BS on this . Bind distro was flawed in design. OpenDNS and others are "CLAIMING" that they patched much before July 10th ?? How come we have not seen a distro with these upgrades and/or within release notes ffrom these entities ?
