In the Fall semester, I spend every Friday at my kids' school, working in their classrooms. Wouldn't trade it, even for a higher salary. I understand soooo much more about their lives.

really cool page -- will need to look up the articles cited there -- "ecosystem" is the metaphor I use for understanding learning as well, but I didn't know there was such a good vocab for it present already (problem of not being in education as an academic discipline)
