this sounds really good, but i've never seen these sausages before. and i can't recall seeing canned lentils either. i should check at whole foods. - holly #ravingfangirl from Bookmarklet
I think I've seen canned lentils in regular grocery stores, but I'm not sure since I usually buy them dry. But if I did, they're not organic du Puy lentils - John (bird whisperer)
I haven't seen canned lentils, but TJ's has pre-cooked ones in the fresh-refrigerated section that I've bought a couple of times. They're the black French ones, I think. - Jennifer Dittrich
I wonder if the author/cook/chef is European; canned lentils seems to be much more prevalent there than they do in North America. - Derrick

she's from NY, but it looks like her family is French, so that may be what they are used to (and i'd guess it's easy to find them there). yeah, i was thinking this would be super easy to do in the crockpot also. - holly #ravingfangirl
