I think I've seen canned lentils in regular grocery stores, but I'm not sure since I usually buy them dry. But if I did, they're not organic du Puy lentils

I haven't seen canned lentils, but TJ's has pre-cooked ones in the fresh-refrigerated section that I've bought a couple of times. They're the black French ones, I think.

I wonder if the author/cook/chef is European; canned lentils seems to be much more prevalent there than they do in North America.

We've been eating a lot of veg sausages lately. This would probably be really easy to just throw into a crock pot.

she's from NY, but it looks like her family is French, so that may be what they are used to (and i'd guess it's easy to find them there). yeah, i was thinking this would be super easy to do in the crockpot also.

I wish I was coming home to a crockpot full of this now. Hrm.

As quickly as lentils cook, I wonder if you could just do something like this with dried lentils in the crock pot all day.
