This is clearly not my cat. If this was my cat he's have one arm shoved down into the printer trying to tear up all the internal whirling bits with his bare claws.
- Soup
Too Funny! Reminds me of the San Mateo Cat Shelter where one of the cats loves to sleep on top of the laster printer where the paper comes out...
- Greg Lato
1600+ to beat the FFundercats live chat thread. I think with this real time now on all threads we're going to see some truly epic comment numbers.
- Simon Wicks
Ivan, no the picture speaks for itself. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Petr, I have no idea what you mean, but thank you. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
@Kol .. :] that, partially, might have been the purpose.... I don't know it exactly either. :] .. was I reflecting on a cat under the fax, and that it is hard to fax that way ... /?:] ... "underfaxing at its worst" ..
- Petr Buben
there ya have me ! :] .... see, to be honest with you, i saw this pic couple days ago, but i let it go, without posting it ..... what does that make me? :]
- Petr Buben
even a flat cat... faxes just can't handle the hair. You'd have to shave the cat first, else the hair will burn and stick to the drum... a mess! (I am extrapolating from transparencies, mind, i don't have access to a cat to test)
- Joelle Nebbe (iphigenie)
Hehe, Joelle. This is now tied for the 'likes' top stop. One more then, hehe. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Hehe, Greg. Blimey! Erm, is that not far from 500 likes now? ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Bloody marvelous, Kol. Wish I could like it again... too cute (and help u to 500 likes).
- Roberto Bonini
I couldn't believe it when I logged on from the morning over posting it and saw it was at something 200 likes! You all have a strange fetish with cats and fax machines, hehe. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Am I the only one who saw this and their first thought was - My goodness did someone break that cats neck? It still freaks me out a little
- Steve C
Steve, it does look a little out of place, but cats are pretty bendy. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
They fax much better if you flatten them first. What?
- Kevin Pedraja
So we can put this post to rest now. :-) 505 likes final count, wow! :-D Good night all!
- Kol Tregaskes
My like is the last one so far :) - 509 afaik
- getalifejerk
did 3 people really un-like this? now at 506. wtf (edit: uh, oh, yeah, me and 2 + 506 others makes 509. dammit, jim, i'm an artist, not a mathematician)
- ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
One of the best funny cat pictures I've seen! :-)
- John Collis
Kristian, it appears to be. Hehe, John.

It's really only social convention which regards it as inappropriate, same with Xeroxing it, like one does with their b__tocks. Wait are we still talking about cats cats here or...
- sofarsoShawn
OMGosh 700+ likes now!! LOL. Thank you all 702 of you. :-)

I really like them, especially in my Moleskines. I keep messing up the tips, though. Not so great on rough, cheap paper. That said, I have a bazillion of them at home.
- ha3rvey (Ho)^3
I should check these out and see if the beat the Pilot Precise GEL pens that I've been using exclusively for the past few years.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Uni-ball Micros for me. Seems like there must be a site out there that reviews pens, no? I mean A-B comparisons, features, specs, etc... Hey... http://www.penaddict.com
- Ken Sheppardson
I've been buying those by the box for quite a while now. Great semi-cheap pens.
- J Wynia
I got real surprised when I discovered that they aren't permanent :(
- Mistletoe Glen
i have always been partial to uni-balls and uni-ball micros. i might have to try some of these out.
- Imabug
i will testify to the awesomeness of sharpie pens on moleskine paper. it doesn't bleed through it. and ooh! they come in purple now? *plans trip to staples*
- tiffany
I got a multipack with orange, blue, purple, red, green and black. They're quite nice.
- CAJ, somewhere else
Sharpie pens really are the greatest thing to happen to my life ever. They are so awesome.
- Devin
Well, I will definitely be in possession of one of these soon.

I keep meaning to purchase a grip of these. I love writing with sharpies.
- Jason Toney
I bought a pair and quickly upgraded to the retractable model with a comfort grip. They are nice in the moleskine.
- Stephen Borchert
Great. Now I need to go BACK to Staples.
- Sean Oliver
what's the width on that pen? i've been so spoiled by my .25mm pens ( http://www.jetpens.com/product... ) that everything seems like a big huge sharpie to me.
- metalerik
@metalerik: I believe the Sharpie pens are .5mm, but don't hold me to that. I've tried a .25 pen before, and while I like fine-tipped pens, I think .25 is too fine for me. The pen tip was too scratchy feeling, and the writing seemed too thin for my liking. But who knows, I may feel differently later. :)
- Cheryl Jones
thanks cheryl. Yeah, a lot of the .25s and even some .3s feel too scratchy. I really like the sliccis as they seem the least scratchy to me. Also, I'm learning to press way lighter having realized that I learned to write with a number 2 pencil and that I can get away with a much lighter touch. Still figuring it out. I am a big fan of the skinny line though. Check out this .18 pen. It literally can write on rice! http://www.jetpens.com/product...

I ACCIDENTALLY THE WHOLE SHARPIE, BORA! IS THIS BAD?!
- Bahriye
Bahriye, you still make no sense. Please add a verb into your sentence, so we can discuss your situation.
- Bora Mesut PALAS
Ok, i'll try. I was just got my sharpie pen couple of days ago, i decided to try it today. However to my surprise, I ACCIDENTALLY THE WHOLE SHARPIE! What do i do?
- Bahriye
sorry, I still don't get it. YOU ACCIDENTALLY WHAT ?
- Bora Mesut PALAS
Did you accidentally eat it? the whole sharpie? not saving even a little for when you get hungry later?
- April Russo (app103)
no april, i accidentally the sharpie? why dont you get it?!
- Bahriye
We don't get it because your English is a little lacking. There is a word missing in your English version that makes it make no sense. Try in your native language and I'll see if I understand it better through a translator. "Accidentally" isn't something you do. It's used to describe HOW you did something. The part in your sentence that is missing is what you did.
- April Russo (app103)
oh, seems like she did something "awful" with that sharpie but since there's a lack of verb in her sentence, I'm still unable to help her in our native language :((((
- Bora Mesut PALAS
I ACCIDENTALLY THE SHARPIE OK? IT IS ENGLISH AND I DID NOT MISS A VERB IN IT. GEEZ, YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR NATIVE LANGUAGE?
- Bahriye
:( and i think it's bad.. isn't it? i just accidentallied one..

"The Kokeshi doll has long been a favourite of mine. I have a small collection of the more traditional kind of Kokeshi that I have lovingly kept well dusted over the past 25 years. But I was most impressed to find that others have more exciting collections than mine – look at these fabulous ninja kokeshi."

I love kokeshi dolls! My mom had lived for 2 years in Japan, between ages 2 and 4, and she came back with lots of them for toys. My sister and I continued to play with them. I was about 10 or so, when someone recognized our beloved toys, and exclaimed with horrified disbelief, "You let your girls PLAY with those?!?" Mom said, "Um, yeah?" And her friend told her how the old-fashioned ones (made with peg between head and body) were very hard to find and had become collectors' items.

"Natural gas has about half the carbon footprint of coal, and saves forests that would be destroyed by burning wood." - colour me skeptical. Natural gas is still a fossil fuel, while wood is from the living carbon cycle.
- Andrew C
Even Nancy Pelosi thinks that natural gas isn't a fossil fuel.

agree with you andew c, need is to start harnessing solar energy by putting up solar furnaces...and during night let the thermal plants roll

But Ketchup flavour crisps are TEH SKILLZ
- Iain Baker
I always enjoyed the Circus Peanuts, but to many made me sick. I also slit my hotdogs to add cheese so the Oscar Mayer Cheesedogs made it easier. The rest I couldn't care less about.
- Jimminy Fuller
The idea of a soda without caramel coloring is not a bad idea, IMO. As long as they keep the formula you like otherwise the same.
- Spidra Webster
I like easy cheese and circus peanuts. The McRib grosses me out.
- Michelle Martinez
I've never had Crystal Pepsi, but I've occasionally found the old bottles laying around. But I'm too young to have ever tried it and remember anyways.
- Jimminy Fuller
I think I'm the only person that likes the McRib. It's the only reason I go to McDonald's if it wasn't for Joelito and Shelly. Don't judge me
- jamar78
Don't let Adrian see this. He is obsessed with the McRib. Like if I say, "Oh, the McRib is back." He'll freak out and corner me asking where I saw it. He gets soooooooooooooo mad when I say, "Just kidding!"
- Admiral Anika
LOL...whenever it is back I have to make weekly visits to McDonalds. LOL
- jamar78
I can't even stand the smell of the McRib. I won't let Joel eat it front of me. Ugh.
- Michelle Martinez
I loved Crystal Pepsi. I liked the McRib (though I certainly wouldn't eat it all the time), my wife loves Oscar Mayer cheese dogs and my kids actually liked the purple ketchup for a while. Other than that, I don't know that we've ever tried any of the other things on the list, so I can't really comment.
- Curtiss Grymala
On the subject of McDonald's foods that flopped, I truly miss the McDLT - a hamburger that you built yourself. It came in a separated styrofoam container with the cold set on one side and the warm stuff (burger patty, basically) on the other side. It was awesome.
- Curtiss Grymala
I thought the McDLT was popular but scrapped because it was environmentally unsound; in fact double the badness of the regular styrofoam boxes. Crystal Pepsi I have no problem with philosophically, though I prefer Coke's more acidic bite. I do have a Crystal Pepsi t-shirt that I wear for ironic purposes. The Gerber Singles product, I'd never heard of before, but WOW.
- Andrew C
If you're going to talk about Smuckers Goobers (peanut butter and jelly in 'stripes' in the same jar, you can't leave out the Smuckers _pre-made_ pb&j sandwiches for the ultimate in laziness... the only further step to go is if it was blended into a puree so consumers didn't have to bite or chew.
- Andrew C
It makes me sad to see a time-honored recipe like liverwurst lumped in with the actual evils of food science, though.
- Andrew C
I like the McRib. No onions and no pickles please! It's a BBQ pork sandwich. It's processed, but so are chicken sandwiches, and the Fillet O'Fish.
- Michael Fidler
Yeah, the word is that the McDLT was basically just scrapped for environmental reasons, but the "Big Breakfast Platter" (or whatever it's called) still comes in styrofoam, so that can't be the only reason. Also, regarding the blended puree of pb&j, that brings us back to the nasty concept of the Gerber singles, doesn't it? :)
- Curtiss Grymala
@Curtiss - reading up on it at Wikipedia reminded me of the Arch Deluxe, and with it their kinda creepy Mac Tonight mascot.
- Andrew C
I have an entire squad of peeps who would kill for the McRib. I've never had one.
- Derrick
I like candy cigaretts, ok I said it so there
- Kim Landwehr
@Andrew - I had completely forgot about the whole Mac Tonight ad campaign. Now I've got that song (Mack the Knife) stuck in my head. There are worse things, though. :)
- Curtiss Grymala
Derrick - "peeps", as in the crappy marshmallow treats that should have been on the list with the circus peanuts, or "peeps" as in people? :)
- Curtiss Grymala
Careful, Curtiss! My wife loves peeps (but only when properly stale-a-fied)
- Bren -- feeling merry
from iPhone
Bren - I like eating one or two each year, but can't take much more than that. They start to make me feel sick if I eat more than that. However, I feel kind of the same way about those circus peanuts, so I might not be the right person to ask about that.
- Curtiss Grymala
they left out Cool Colt, i.e., mentholated malt liquor, briefly introduced to the market in 1993. "A More contemporary taste in beer" http://j.mp/KtZJm
- Nathan Rein
Funny because I have an Orbitz drink bottle in my room. I keep paper stars in it and I was just showing the bottle to someone the other day. And I kind of like Circus Peanuts. But I like them better when they're a little stale.

I dig this form factor. The number one thing I do with my phone is take pictures, followed fairly distant by music, playing games, web browsing, texting, calling and GPS. I always said the next smartphone I purchase next fall when my G1 contract is up will be determined by the quality of the camera, followed by screen and UI. Up until now, the iPhone GS was leading as a successor, but let's see what we got here...
- Adrian
Looking at this though, I could do without the optical zoom and would love to see a larger sensor and a decent pancake prime. Silly question, but is it possible to have a telescoping prime so the assembly is more compact when it's not active?
