@janaybe hope you don't need any toilet paper as it will all be gone. Aaahhh Maryland and the snow panic.
@brainofsteel clearly Brahms wrote most of his work thinking of canned cheese. ;). I miss canned cheese...
I was afraid the slight snow coverage I saw at home would prevent me biking to work from the station, nope, no problem... for now.
UHT milk, I'm basically used to it now.
I now understand why kindle is doing so well, just like what itunes did for music, it's SO simple to buy new books and have them instantly.
@PaulSloane was that intentional? if so my mind just blew up. Enjoyed your articles on syndiacted content btw.
Missing the beautiful sunshine of yesterday, but really pumped up about being at work and getting things done. Gonna be a good day.
@whazlewo I have to assume that chantel will either be dead or in a coma to agree to let you do that.
@Intellagirl #geekpoll for obscurity & its short-lived nature I vote General Ackbar's cereal. Otherwise my fave sugar cereal=Cap'n Crunch.
Thank you book depository both for your free shipping worldwide as well as not asking me to create an account until after my order.
@Intellagirl did I say general Ackbar, clearly I meant Admiral Ackbar, and did I spell that right? I don't know.
Bought a Kindle, read the terms of service. Still have some long term concerns, but if I can save money on my research related books it pays for itself, and the TOS says I should always have access to the things I've purchased.
Woohoo! I just got a Sonicare free for helping out with one of the research projects in my group. Christmas came early. #PhilipsRules
reading http://clearedge.com about interesting alternative energy for the home, sadly they're too stupid to actually list prices
The internet seems to still be abuzz about Don Norman's latest article putting tech 1st, needs last http://jnd.org/dn.... Not sure I agree
I'm alive, and even back at work. So happy to be feeling mostly better. Still a bit worn out but no symptoms so hurray!
Thinking about getting a Kindle, but worried about the long-term consequences of relying on amazon for my library. What happens when the next gen product/platform comes out and then all my kindle titles are stuck there?
I'll keep saying it until it's true: ban all Rx pharmaceutical ads in every form. Directed ads to Dr.s only.
I wanted to go to work today, I really did, but this darn stomach bug just won't give up.
This is SO beautiful, especially when I'm never sure which amazon to order from: http://www.pricenoia.com/
Feeling under the weather, but in the literal sense who isn't, except astronauts?
SyFy.... still the worlds worst possible rebranding, though SG Universe seems interesting, hard to get pas stupid brand.
@delyea it iphone gift card makes it so the giver can go and pay for the phone, receiver then picks up phone and chooses rate plan etc.
I still have some google wave invites if anyone is interested. direct message me.
I have google wave invites if anyone is still looking
Bravo Apple for making iphone gift cards, a perfect example of simplifying the UX of iPhone giving from the gift giver's point of view.
@Intellagirl We use the "I has a" phrase a lot around our house. #geekpoll
@Intellagirl I remember when someone commented on my firefox and how I had it "uber customized" I thought nothing of it, just the way I roll
My mid-afternoon slump is hitting an all-time low. If I were still drinking diet coke I'd be drinking a nice big fountain drink now.
one of the ads in my gmail says "Never lose an email again, classify and backup email as File ___ does it automatically.... or just you know, use gmail making that idea laughable.
