These two are indeed competitors so this is kind of a natural process. However most guys still dont get that their way of doing business as well as the underlying product ideas are getting more different from year to year. So there is way more to it than claiming, both do touchpanals and both do switchers.

This is a real nice follow up on Infocomm and I agree mostly. If you dont have to meet some guys there, ISE is good enough for most people. I see less and less of my customers flying to Infocomm. Their main comment is: On ISE I see everything I could actually buy and use, whereas on Infocomm there are quite a lot of US only suppliers.

Although having food waste at all makes me feel guilty but these seems to be at least an accetable use of it. I'll stay with my private composting setup.

I guess they're tweaking it.. I have a helluva time finding stuff on FB.. Darn Screwy UI, I'm amazed the masses can do anything on the site.

Haven't looked, but there were several blogs reporting that Facebook launched their "relying party" side of OpenID about 2 weeks ago (maybe a little less) - I recall commenting on a TechCrunch article about it.

Some of the sites I belong to give the option in OpenID to sign in w/my Facebook ID. Otherwise, it's my Blogger ID or Yahoo.

Molly: This is the other way around. You've been able to use a Facebook OpenID to log onto other sites for some time now. It is a new development that you can use other OpenIDs to log into Facebook.

Jesse, i tried finding it as well few days ago, lame

In Facebook, just hover over the "Settings" link at the top right hand corner and go to "Account Settings". From there click on "Change" next to "Linked accounts" and you're in. Google, Yahoo, OpenID, MyOpenID, and others are there. Have fun :) (Edit: And I agree - another example of Facebook UI fail.)
- Andy Bold
Andy, thanks. Quite sure it wasn't there last time i looked :-)

Forgot to say, once you have done that you can test this. Sign out of Facebook. Go to http://www.facebook.com. Wait a few seconds... and you get logged in automatically. Would be nice to get a "Logging you in with <Name Of ID Being Used>" or something but, well, it's Facebook. That kind of message might actually be /useful/...
- Andy Bold
Majento, no problem :) I blame the Facebook UI. Some days I wish you could tie a ball of string to something in Facebook so that you can find your way back to the same place a few days later. I'm sure that their UI team has some kind of shifting maze game fetish going on.
- Andy Bold
lol @ maze game fetish Thanks Rob, for the info. I use a similar ID for everything (except for old stuff like Yahoo mail) so if it's infolode, it's most likely me.
