Forum Nokia blogger's take on Google maps navigation release: "I was shocked to hear this news." http://blogs.forum.nokia.com/blog...
Initially planned buying iPhone or some fancy smart phone. I break stuff, so maybe I'll get this sturdy 129 € phone: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Passport: 50€, insurance for laptop & camera: 100€. It ain't cheap traveling nowadays. Note to myself: try to resist the hotel minibar.
Evaluating #Carbonite. Unpolished Windows client and flaky web site don't communicate "trustworthy". Next: testing customer support.
Following only 19 people, but still - Twitter Lists feels handy.
Looks like that I'll pass the iPhoney thing and get an open source phone sometime 2010. Not bad: http://gizmodo.com/5391825... - and improving.
@PDC09 Getting "The page isn't redirecting properly" error with FF3.5.4 after login.
The video from this press release sent today (or more accurately, referred) by IBM is quite hilarious http://www-03.ibm.com/press...
Installed Fusion 3, but I think it doesn't like my custom partition scheme and doesn't work at all with Boot Camp. Oh well, maybe in 3.1..
Writing about Wave in Wave. Yes, very meta and recursive. And now tweeting about it. Gee.
Funny how VMware is promoting their new versions (Fusion 3, WS 7) with "exceptional Flip 3D support". Oh well, it's demo heaven all right...
Microsoft.com/Finland decided also it's time to 7up. Still seeing lots of "we don't support Win7, it's a pre-version" mentions on ISV sites.
Microsoft Finland recommends upgrading safely to.. Windows Vista! http://www.microsoft.com/finland...
Win 7 is finally out. No more "we don't support pre-release version" excuses. Now waiting for decent drivers from Apple.
Maybe I'm paranoid, but I actually believe running Win7 on my Mac is harmful for the hardware...
My MacBook (late 2007) died again yesterday evening: display dark after waking from sleep and even after power cycling. SMC reset helped.
"Not a single external light source was used", "ISO stayed locked in the 6400 ASA range". I want this cam to LA, too! http://blog.vincentlaforet.com/2009...
Managed to clone my Windows 7 with a fixed version of Disk2vhd from Mark Russinovich. A "diskpart uniqueid" dis-ambig, and voilà: it mounts!
Decided to buy Adobe Fireworks. License for US customers 200€. Same bits sold & downloaded to Finland: 365€. Hey, you just lost a customer.
@isani Maybe Amazon is busy keeping up with their newly introduced "same day delivery" schedules...
Didn't know which recordable DVD format to choose while shopping. Rule of thumb: plus means better, or so this says: http://www.cdfreaks.com/article...
These video formats make me dizzy. http://www.crunchgear.com/2009...
Only a year to go until the clock shows a perfect 10.
Buggy drivers are ruining my Windows 7 Experience.
Learning to use VoiceOver in Snow Leopard. Pressing different keys and hearing their names is surprisingly entertaining.
Doing three separate back-ups of my Mac OS X before upgrading it to the Snowy Cat. Just in case.
Nasty security glitch found in WordPress. Still unpatched, but there's a manual fix: http://www.programmerfish.com/wordpre...
Attempted a switch back to Windows while MacBook was in for repair. Unfortunately Windows 7 Ultimate RTM doesn't work on my HP PC from 2005. CPU (DPC's actually) constantly at 100%. Hint: disable "High Definition Audio".
#AppleCare pays off: #Tector fixed the electronics, upgraded hard drive & restored everything back in 30 hours. Great!
My MacBook Pro died on a trip to Kaunissaari on Sunday. Luckily I've got AppleCare and a VMware image with my dev environment. Almost no downtime! :)
