Do they need permission to use the logos BTW? - Kol Tregaskes
You would of thought so Kol! - Simon Wicks
Wonder if they do? ;-) - Kol Tregaskes
I wonder, since they are not the 'official' logos, if the respective companies hold copyrights for each of them. They are the abbreviated ones. - Johnny Worthington

Getting a video camera this weekend. Choice between Flip Mino HD & Kodak Zi6. Which is best?
I went with the Flip Ultra HD...more record time than the mino - Gary Gannon
whats the price tag on that flip hd? - Carlos Valdonedo
I bought a very high end Canon HD video camera with 40GB hard drive. I wasn't familiar with Flip before I bought it, I still regret it. Flip is just so easy to carry around with you. - James Poling
Flip Ultra HD costs $199..slightly bulkier than the mino but not bad at all...I love mine - Gary Gannon
Gary, what format does Flip use to encode? - James Poling
I have the Flip MinoHD and it is awesome. The only problem is there is no image stabilizer, but still awesome - Shawn Hickman
Thanks Shawn, I hadn't even thought about that. I wonder if the Flip Ultra has a stabilizer? - James Poling
Our Flip Mino HD is the sexiest gizmo we have going on right now... - Julie Gibbons
James: The fact that I can carry in my pocket anywhere I go is the best feature. I can go without the stabilizer, just use a mini-tripod to hold it. I don't think any of the Flips have stabilizers, but I could be wrong. I'm sure your Canon is amazing though. - Shawn Hickman
i just got the flip mino and LOVE it. I think it actually gives a very stable image, so not sure what folks are doing with it. i just hold my arm out at arm length, point an dmy face and record. looks like some one else shot it. i do miss pulling focus though. the flip is pretty fantastic for the size, the ease of use, the image quality, and the price. - Anna B. Scott
Sean: Yeah, it's a great video camera but the truth is I take way more video with my Canon point and shoot which isn't HD simply because it's way more portable/easier to break out. Plus my Canon Video camera records in M2TS format and I have yet to find a way to easily convert that to a format that works easily with any of my video sharing sites. - James Poling
Discussion turned into Flip Mino HD vs. Flip Ultra HD... nothing on the Kodak Zi6? I've seen video from a Zi6 and it looks great, and have also read the Mino HD was a significant step back from the prior (480p) Flip models, which makes me wonder what Kodak's got going on. - Wade Dorrell

A Quick and Effective Way to Enhance Contrast in Photoshop
I will definitely be trying out this tutorial and creating an Action to use on all my photos, great tutorial - Groobers from Bookmarklet
It's a great tutorial and now I have as an action all ready to go when I need it, thanks to the digital photograph school site. I don't take great pictures so I love to try and correct them with photoshop (maybe I should get round to learning the correct way to use my camera, one of these days:) anyway here's my before and after http://ff.im/34CAj. Would love to see other peoples before and afters if they feel like sharing them ~G - Groobers
That's a very nice before & after Groobers. I'm more of a snapshotter myself; my forte is composition. I use Picassa and Gimp to crop, enhance etc, but more for my own pleasure than anything else. It's had to take a back seat the last few months :( - Isha (Marysia)
