- George Nimeh

highbike-paznaun Motorrad Testcenter - highbike-paznaun.com - BMW – Ducati – KTM – Triumph - http://www.highbike-paznaun.com/
- George Nimeh

Uncovered Gem: Marshall McLuhan on The Global Village | Brain Pickings - http://www.brainpickings.org/index...
Why tribal man is the future of communication, or what TED has to do with Playboy. A few months ago, we raved about this brilliant Marshall McLuhan interview from a 1969 issue of Playboy, where the iconic media scholar and pop culture philosopher — a man most famous for his contention that “the medium is the message” — lays out his fascinating and radical theories about “hot” vs. “cool” media, the loss of identity in the age of “electric media,” and other cultural phenomena remarkably relevant in today’s social media landscape, some four decades later. Today, we look at this uncovered gem from 1960, where McLuhan explores how “electric media” are turning the world into one global village, changing our relationship with print, and extending our sensory capabilities — all issues occupying the media theorists, publishing gurus, cultural anthropologists and iPad enthusiasts of today to an extraordinarily similar degree. Fixin, 2008 | Justerini & Brooks - http://www.justerinis.com/WineDet...
This shows the huge potential of the Fixin appellation to make really top value Burgundy; it is teeming with floral ripe crushed, bright fruits, very fruity indeed but multi-dimensional, brilliant, vivid cherry flavours, touches of wild strawberry and raspberry, suggestions of undergrowth and some mineral complexity too. It is incredible to think that up until 1983, this Domaine was selling its entire production in bulk to négociants. Since then, these years of wasted potential have been put to rights fi rst by Jean Méo and now by his son Jean-Nicholas. Fantastic vineyards, low yields, new barrels every year and minimum intervention (filtration was dispensed with some time ago) are all components that make for some of Burgundy’s most exciting and sought after wines. - George Nimeh

Domaine Méo-Camuzet - Fact sheet, Fixin Clos du Chapitre - http://www.meo-camuzet.com/pages...
Straight wine with a lot of minerality. This wine, deep in colour and with frequent black fruit aromas, does not line your mouth but possesses a great deal of rectitude. There’s no aggressiveness in the tasting, even if a touch of acidity can be felt in the finish. This wine is pleasant thanks to its fresh and subtle nose and its frank character, refreshing and not at all heavy. The Clos du Chapitre is situated in the heart of the village of Fixin, below the Clos de la Perrière, famous for its wine-press built by the Cistercian monks. In the higher part, the slopes are still quite steep and the rows of vines are planted north-south in order to limit erosion. It’s a charming site, but you soon realise that the vines are not easy to work. - George Nimeh

Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe :: Vieux Telegraphe & Télégramme - http://www.thewinedoctor.com/rhone...
The grand vin here is the red Vieux Télégraphe, a classic Châteauneuf blend. The wines declare La Crau on the label but this is not a special bottling as is often thought, all the fruit for the grand vin comes from this plateau. The Brunier brothers do not intend to produce a premium cuvée as many other local producers have done, rather they have introduced a second wine which helps to keep the quality of the grand vin high. This was called Vieux Mas des Papes (and also variably named Télégramme, a second moniker introduced with the washout 2002 vintage) and includes wine from vines less than twenty years of age, and those aliquots rejected from inclusion in the grand vin. - George Nimeh

- George Nimeh

What Publishers Can Learn From Online Retailers | paidContent - http://paidcontent.org/article...
What does content mean for online retailers, and how can publishers successfully work commerce into their websites? Those were the questions discussed at a Financial Times panel in NYC last night. “There are lots of things that merge between media businesses and 2.0 commerce,” said Susan Lyne, chairman of Gilt Groupe. “We’re all competition for each other in that we’ve got limited time to spend on something besides work and family.” - George Nimeh

PULA – town Pula Istria,Croatia.Pula is:hotels,campsites,leisure houses, holday houses,apartments,rooms,restaurants, photos,map,adresses,information. - http://www.istra.hr/en...
The largest town on the Istrian peninsula offers a diversity of attractions to lovers of culture. The rich itinerary of its three thousand year old history, where every step you take through the old town is a landmark, begins and ends with the Roman amphitheatre. A great tourist asset is surely 190 kilometres of indented coastline, crystal-clear sea and beaches to suit everyone’s needs: smooth and even stone surfaces or pebbles for all generations, especially families with children or “secluded” beaches hidden by untouched greenery for those who want a bit of privacy. - George Nimeh

bitly blog - You just shared a link. How long will people pay attention? - http://blog.bitly.com/post...
The mean half life of a link on twitter is 2.8 hours, on facebook it’s 3.2 hours and via ‘direct’ sources (like email or IM clients) it’s 3.4 hours. So you can expect, on average, an extra 24 minutes of attention if you post on facebook than if you post on twitter. - George Nimeh

With Join.me, you can share your Windows PC or Mac's desktop with up to 250 people over the Internet, a nifty trick that's useful for conducting presentations, engaging in collaborative brainstorming or seeking troubleshooting help from distant geeks. The gamification trend has been going strong in recent months, but until just recently we hadn’t seen it applied to recruiting. Thomas Dolby's Floating City Goes Beyond Marketing - hypebot - http://www.hypebot.com/hypebot...
Thomas Dolby's recently released web-based game "The Floating City" is both a marketing device for his upcoming album, "A Map of the Floating City", and an interesting project in its own right. Set in an alternate version of the 1940's, The Floating City integrates both old and new music by Dolby in a narrative setting that requires the formation of tribes and the trading of relics. - George Nimeh
