#IdeaTag I'd like to see whether a company could be crowdsourced from scratch. The world's first crowdsourced company. What social tools would you need to achieve that? How would you attract the right people for the company? How would you generate awareness?
I think, poetically, the point of the company should be to create products, services, whatevers, through crowdsourcing. It should be the first crowdsourced crowdsourcing company! Perhaps it needs a wiki?!

definitely a wiki and open source twitter app. awareness will come through tapping into the right networks. the croudsourced company needs to facilitate an ecosystem to ensure the right content creators and audience. here's a good place to start. my first question, what would be the selection process? ie how does the crowd decide? then how do you make products to meet the crowd before they move on?

Agree with your points, although do you have an example of a speculative service? I think probably, we would need a plural system for different types of feedback. What could these be? Voting app is one tool, but what about others? And could we use existing social networks to communicate? Interested to hear your ideas on suggested products? I'll have a think about this too.

I definitely think existing social networks are a great sounding board for ideas and to find the right mix of people interested in working on a particular project. The difficulty is in keeping the process 'open' enough to encourage the crowdsourcing of ideas, while protecting the resulting ideas and ensuring there is some potential to commercialise them and result in some sort of...

Pledges can be created out of one or more types of thing (items, time, service, etc). A Pledge's value is determined through open exchange and/or Pledge Auctions. Possibly a network of localised systems.
