Sorry Dario, missed this yesterday. I don't know the San Bruno neighborhood at all, so my answer is not really worth anything. My gut reaction is that 710 sq feet is really tiny, and I can't help but feel $345k is too much. I wouldn't feel comfortable paying more than $275k -- less if the neighborhood isn't good. - Stephen Mack

Yeah, but Unfortunately we live in a government subsidized world. I ended up bidding 352,000 and am in third position. Both higher bidders are getting FHA loans. Very depressing that I'm in a housing market like this. If there was no FHA assistance I probably could get a place for 275k because people would actually have to save money to afford a home. /end rant. - Dario Gomez

What about this one instead, it's in San Jose, but listed at 200k (which prbly means $230k) it's also a 3 bed / 2 bath which is the most popular size in case you want to sell or rent it later. http://www.redfin.com/CA... - Davis Freeberg
