"I would disagree with bumping ram up to 6GB for most users, and even most overclockers. The only justification I can see for that is because RAM is so cheap right now, but still there are more crucial places you can put your money that you want to invest in computer parts... I'd personally stick it away in an SSD fund. On linux, I'm running an XP virtual machine over 75% of the time I'm running this T400 with 2GB, and I never run low on RAM. Most users wouldn't be running a virtual machine. I don't know what most users could be doing on a desktop machine to require more than 4GB. Seems it could only be a wise choice in very edge cases for users with very demanding, non-average application requirements." - Matt Bidinger
