@sil nevermind, having seen the settings dialog for tweetdeck :)
@codedragon ooh, exotic
@sil google don't play sane when it comes to deb repos. they have one they run themselves, but it doesn't even have all their linux products
@sil how can a program that sends messages of 140 chars and reads lists of them need more work than can be achieved in one dopey afternoon?
@laserjock cool. that's nice to know :) anything generally useful or just private scripts?
@urbanape why keep it all to yourself? that's egotistical.
@codedragon is there a proper repo for the so-called official deb, or is it a manual procedure?
@allenap i think i'll stick to babysitting for now
it just dawned on me that tomorrow, for the first day in a few, i don't actually have to do anything and i'm on holiday proper. nice!
dear lazywebs: i'm trying twitter again and this time i'm thinking of trying a desktop client. recommendations?
Just found out someone else is releasing a python module for interfacing with RTM. Should I: 1. Stop maintaining mine and see if I can help him instead? 2. Ask him to forget about his and help maintain mine? 3. Embrace competition and try to improve mine so that it's better (though, tbh, how much better can a python module for interfacing with a...
Tom damn. i spent years not having to develop any self control in regards to television watching by not having a television set. now with youtube shows i'm doomed. i'm simply not as mentally prepared as the rest of the population.
Tom in the last couple of weeks i've had days that finish with me feeling positively exhausted. when every inch of muscle and every neuron of mine feel like they've been used to the max. i go to sleep like a baby. counter-intuitively, i'm reminded, this is a great a feeling. the fact that i don't experience it most days means that i probably don't...
Tom hot water achieved. time for bubble bath and economist :).
Tom there's nothing more humbling than a cold shower on a winter day.
@urbanape my favourite mal-adjustment-to-the-digital-age peeve is people sending their address without mentioning the post code.
... in which the hot water thing isn't really happening and i go to sleep unwashed and stinky but very, very happy.
Tom hello, internets!
Tom ho ho ho. i need a word stronger than 'exhausted' ... can i afford a schlafstunde? (sadly, no).
Tom a long and cold and pretty fucked up day is finally coming to a close. i'm not complaining. though :) now it's time for a hot bath and deep, deep sleep.
Tom ah, it's cold and dark and rainy and i'm feeling sick and tired, but also extatic with adrenalin as i prepare to go visit the new place. whoop whoop whoop :).
Hooray! At last, I am now the owner of a small but charming north london apartment. Get off my lawn, punks, I've got a shotgun.

Tom i am the sick man of europe :(.
Tom guess what ... turns out those lovely organic paper bags don't hold much in the pouring rain #backtothetrees.
1. hallucinating 2. hungry.
Tom let me hear you say "structural subscriptions" 10 times in a row.
I can't, but bash can: for i in {1..10} do echo "structural subscriptions" > /dev/dsp done - Tzury Bar Yochay
Since pairing with Zachery Bir at the LAZR-JS sprint I've learnt to love the javascript debugger. Somehow using debuggers is something I never pick up until someone shows me how.
which debugger is there besides firebug? - Tzury Bar Yochay
