Re: attributes attached to blocks - http://www.icadsales.com/index...
That makes sense. A block would not get updated until it was redefined through insertion into the drawing, only redefined on disk. That is the same way it would work in a manual operation. It would be a nice improvement if they simply did that last process and redefined the block in the drawing for you and progeSOFT will see this posting so they can put it on their list of items for improvements. Thank you for letting the community know of the solution to this issue! > Thanks for replying > Yes,I'm familiar with Attributes and those Attribute settings > you refer to but that was not the issue, though I found out > what was. Thanks for replying Yes,I'm familiar with Attributes and those Attribute settings you refer to but that was not the issue, though I found out what was. After I reinserted a new instance of the revised block and added the text to the attribute fields they were visible in the Property tab. So it seems that after one adds new attributes with In Place Block Edit and Save Reference Edits that it is not automatically updated in the drawing and the Attributes are not read on the Property page, until after reinserting a new instance of that revised block and adding the text to the attribute fields. at least that what it seemed to me. I did not see much help file on Edit Local References or In-Place Block Edit. > Attributes can be tricky for those just starting out with > them. They can be set visible or hidden, preset or blank, read > only or editable. I would imaging if you are putting in > attributes and not seeing them show up there may be some > incorrect settings. 82% Discount on AutoCAD? - http://www.intellicad.net/xn...
Looks like its Autodesk's turn to do an Alibre. Someone on Twitter asked me: heard abt Autocad's reduction in China from 35000 RMB to 6000 RMB? this move is believed to last till Jan.2010. any opinion? That's allegedly a whopping 82% discount. Check out this page on the Autodesk China web site. I don't understand Chinese and neither could I…

Re: Windows 7: impossible to add JPG driver at start up - http://www.icadsales.com/index...
Great, thanks for letting us know! There may be other areas of instability as it has only had testing by third parties at this point. If there are other problems that we have not seen yet the chance of the fixes being performed in any short period of time are not likely as the team is working hard on getting the 2010 release ready and so there is little resources to put towards progeCAD 2009. I think progeCAD 2010 is right around the corner. We are now offering a free upgrade to progeCAD 2010 to anyone purchasing progeCAD 2009 so it must be very close. Let us know if you have any other problems. Thank you > > > I just upgrade to Windows 7. Re: attributes attached to blocks - http://www.icadsales.com/index...
Attributes can be tricky for those just starting out with them. They can be set visible or hidden, preset or blank, read only or editable. I would imaging if you are putting in attributes and not seeing them show up there may be some incorrect settings. Such as visibility or their being placed on a layer that is either turned off or frozen. I recommend you review the progewiki pages that talk about attributes found here: http://www.icadsales.com/index..., with more information here: http://www.icadsales.com/index... with both of those pages leading to many others describing how to use attributes in block inside progeCAD IntelliCAD. Once you get a good understanding of how to define them, their properties, and gotchas like making sure to define them with text styles that can be modified, making sure the layers you choose to define will fit into your entire layer schema (layer 0 is a powerful layer), etc. you should be off and running in no time! > Hi All > new PCad...

They should work after that.

Windows 7: impossible to add JPG driver at start up - http://www.icadsales.com/index...
I just upgrade to Windows 7. When I start ProgeCad Pro (current version and all other system updates) I get the warning: Impossible to add JPG driver, execute INSTALLJPG.EXE in PDFADD flolder. I've tried that and it fails. Also, all the printers are listed but the properties menu doesn't work and it won't print to any printer. The printers work with other programs. Is this a Windows 7 issue? Is there a work around? Thanks for any help.
