AutoCAD Scale Nightmare - http://www.intellicad.net/xn...
Having recently built my house using AutoCAD as one of the CAD systems, I can relate to this story. A UK couple who are building their 1 million pound dream home are fighting a battle with authorities who are looking to tear it down - all because the blue prints were automatically scaled down by 4 percent to fit the page. "When the plans have been printed out, we didn't realise the printer had reduced them by 4 per cent and these were the plans that were passed", said Colin Walker, th …

ODA and LEDAS Get Constrained - http://www.intellicad.net/xn...
Earlier I had mentioned that there were some interesting things going in the ODA on the technology front. Today I can tell you what. The ODA and LEDAS, a Russian software company, formalized their partnership by issuing a press release announcing that LEDAS would implement their LGS 2D Geometric and Dimensional Constraint Solver into DWGdirect, a main component of the…

Re: Combining multiple Cad seasily - http://www.icadsales.com/index...
It can be done manually by using the insert command to place the drawing into the main drawing just as you would insert a block from your hard drive. Then, since the drawing you just inserted would effectively be one object inside the main drawing at that point, you could explode it. I would do all the inserting first, and then you can window the entire bunch of drawings at once to explode them. However, you don't explain why this needs to be done. Is it a requirement that each drawing's entities be physically in the main drawing? If the actual entities need to reside in the main drawing it could be that it will create a drawing too large to effectively operate with progeCAD. Remember, the bigger the drawing the more chance for problems opening, displaying and working within the drawing. This is true of any computer program. If you are just doing this for presentation purposes you can use the xref command to read the drawings into the main drawing and display them without the overhead...

Combining multiple Cad seasily - http://www.icadsales.com/index...
Hi All I'm fairly new to Intellicad, and have been asked to provide a bunch (68 to be exact) Mapinfo tables as a .dwg. Usin MI's Universal Translator i can individually make .dwgs of each table, but i now want to combine the resultant 68 individual dwgs into one. is there an easy and/or quick way of doing this? i've searched through the help file but can't find anything on combining multiple files. Much appreciated, Mat

Re: Video acceleration problem - http://www.icadsales.com/index...
The hardware acceleration can produce problem with progeCAD but at this time we have no information these problems only affect a specific hardware. I suggest to put the acceleration off since acceleration doesn't produce advantage for progeCAD. As we are very interested to go deeper in this problem, please provide me the more possible details and the drivers version of your Graphic Card.

On new and old drawings, sometimes when rendering and sometimes when I close the program it either locks up, simply disappears/closes and sometimes gives me an error message after I close the program but only when I have the video card acceleration anywhere but off in Windows XP video properties. How would that be a DWG issue.

Re: right mouse button - http://www.icadsales.com/index...
If you refer to the progeCAD help file you will see that the right click is used for much more that just the context menus. You are not able to reprogram this right click but there are options you can utilize. A. whenever you right click at the top of the menu that appears is a repeat last command. B. you can program in a key combination as a keyboard short cut for your left hand (assuming you are trying to accomplish not removing your hand from the mouse to operate the enter button). To program a shortcut, right click in the icon menu area, go to the bottom of the list that appears and select customize. Go to the keyboard tab on the customize dialog and program in your macro for some left handed key combination such as shift-A to ctrl-D. for the command to run just enter a semi colon ( ; ) IntelliCAD Community discussion wrote: > From: IntelliCAD Community discussion > > Discussion: IntelliCAD Community > > Author: AGOP (AGOP PETRESCU) > > Date: 2009-06-09 17:14:08 > > Subject:...

There are no video card related iissues on progeCAD. Currently it is not using Graphic accelleration. The crashes are usually due to DWG related issues.
