i'm not that much of a visual person, the internet does not match a natural landscape for me when i "picture" it in my mind it's all very abstract nonetheless. If I had to, though, it'd be an underwater landscape

The image that comes to mind is the roiling, boiling steam shrouded landscape at Yellowstone. Heat drives the steam vents, geysers, hot springs, mud volcanos and sulfur cauldrons. Every where is awesome destruction, beauty and bleakness and change. And underlying it all is an the almost unimaginable Yellowstone Supervolcano that could blow at any time and take us all out along with it. It's a border land. It exist between times, between spaces, and it could go either way.
