I haven't played Magic in years, but even I know this is ridiculous. I guess after 15 years and 40 million expansion packs, a 2 mana of every color, 10/10 protection from everything creature is all that's left.

I wonder if they have a Fog capable card in the sets. Also, he's not that tough, if you want to kill your enemy's, just play one of your own.

Protection from everything means: 1) Progenitus can't be blocked, 2) Progenitus can't be enchanted or equipped, 3) Progenitus can't be the target of spells or abilities, 4) All damage that would be dealt to Progenitus is prevented. Progenitus also does not show pity, or remorse, or fear. The only example they give of being able to kill it is Wrath of God.

That card actually sucks. You just need a 1/1 creature to stop it each turn. No flying, no evasion and extremely costly. At the speed of today's game, you'll be dead before you have a chance to cast it. Plus that's old news. That card for is from 2009. This card is way better and still not tourney level : http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages...

From the comment right above you: "Protection from everything means: 1) Progenitus can't be blocked..." Also, from the article: "But just as the overlapping planes created five-color monstrosities, they also give you solutions to pay for them. There are several lands in Conflux that represent “borderlands”—the places where the shards overlap between adjacent planes. By giving you access to all five colors, these "borderlands" will help you explore Alara's dynamic new landscape and wield of the mana-rich possibilities brought on by the Conflux."

I miss playing Magic. But with all the expansions and stuff, I just don't see myself trying to start back up. I guess I could just run with my old cards with some friends but I'd have to convince them to start up again too. XP

Mark, and that's why Fog would be wonderful, it prevents all combat damage dealt during a turn. As does Holy Day and a few others.

I did forget the can't be blocked thing.....

However the card I posted above works as it forces you to sacrifice your own stuff. And it's bigger. Plus did you actually play alara? I was playing a lot during that period, obviously it was a rare card but there were so many creature of that size in that set that was not over powered at all.
