Chasing Amy by far... I /love/ Catholic humour given my upbringing, but that movie falls flat in overall tone. Chris Rock is the only one doesn't seem to sleepwalk through it. Chasing Amy (and I liked Jersey Girl, for what it was).

No, when I replied, Dan's comment was the last one. The other people must have replied at the same time.

Chasing Amy. It's not on television enough, and even though I own it, I can't bring myself to watch it even though I love it.

Ubqtous only said that to be contrary to me. He really meant Dogma. :)

Dogma for the frenetic energy of it. Chasing Amy for a more polished work. Dogma wins 9 times out of ten for me.

TMI: I saw Chasing Amy only a few months after being dumped by The Girl From Maine after a year and half because she "needed to explore her sexuality." My ego was slightly bandaged when she later settled on labelling herself bi-sexual rather than lesbian. No longer was I the sex she turned gay because of... So the film hits many chords ;) Including the ending where some self-examination was in order.

Dogma. How many comedies hinge entirely on a theological paradox?

And I have to admit, I did enjoy watching Ben Affleck and Matt Damon get totally obliterated by God Herself.

Chasing Amy EDIT: Although I don't love it. Come to think of it, all of his movies seem kinda meh to me. Like him though. What's that one dvd he did where he's lecturing at a college?

Chasing Amy. But this is really like choosing which one of your kids you like best. Only more difficult

If anything says we need some kind of integrated polling ability on FF, it's things like this. It would be awesome if a tally was kept automatically, so we could see the stats, and the comments were commentary rather than a huge jumble of poll contributions and, er, comments. I mean, it's hard to keep track of which movie is more popular here. Although, I guess Real Genius wouldn't have been able to make a showing, and we'd need to provide an implicit CowboyNeal option also.
