I'm really strict about grammar so I don't make these mistakes. In fact, even for small comments (such as this one), I tend to read and re-read several times before submitting and, even after, I'll often go back and make adjustments; not necessarily to correct mistakes but to alter sentences' rhythms. I'm a writer, after all.

I love grammar. I try *very* hard not to make mistakes. I'm sure I do from time to time, but I strive for zero tolerance.
- AJ Kohn
I don't like to see poor spelling or poor grammar on the internets, but I know it happens and I try to forgive it when I do. I strive primarily to write well which usually includes proper spelling and grammar.
- Chrimmus Tad
Hehe, Tad...I just wrote an email to my fiance, who's a 3rd/4th grade teacher (yes, both at the same time...don't ask how that works) and used here instead of hear. And thought it was funny because it bothers me when people mistakenly use your instead of you're or vice versa. Like when someone writes "your mistaken," I will almost certainly ask, "my mistaken what?"
- Alex Scoble
Yeah... What all of you said. I even make sure my text messages are correct in every way. Grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. I give allowance for *style,* of course. I'm a big fan of sentence fragments. Just sayin'. :-)

I think grammar is like any art form. Once you've proven that you can do it properly, then you can get away with breaking it in creative ways. If Picasso had come out of the gate doing Cubism, no one would've respected it.
- Akiva Moskovitz
I always use proper grammar etc. in my texts, too -- it's just common courtesy! It's takes me ten minutes to decipher the texts I get from my nephew.
- Timothy Griffin
Oh, and I usually like to write numbers as "twenty" instead of "20" where practical.
- Timothy Griffin
I guess everyone has his or her own grammar peeves. One of mine is "its" and "it's." I see them mistakenly used often online and in print.
- Cathryn Hrudicka
Timothy, I was taught to spell out the numbers from one to ten. After that, go numerical. My newspaper background, I suppose.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Akiva, I've never really stuck to any kind of rule but just gone with whatever feels best. That's a good rule, though -- I may use that. Cheers!

Akiva giving up commas is good, otherwise U will be like Chomsky, but just do not give up on Sex, or U will be illiterate! LOL
- Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
Patricia: The rule is different based upon the purpose for which you are writing and the style for your location. I hate when rules aren't universal, btw. That's not the definition of rule. :-|

Ha! Kath & Kim. :-D I have plenty of Aussie friends who've assured me I will LOVE the Aussie (and ONLY) version :-P of this show. I must admit, though, that I'm excited for the American version...
