@achitnis And I have an E61i that after three major updates still has broken email support, the feature I originally bought it for.
@achitnis Age is irrelevant. First gen Android and iPhone still get updates. With Nokia, even bugfixes require new hardware.
@achitnis No, but I will gladly bet that the Droid will have more apps, and that E71 users will get the finger from Nokia for updates.
@achitnis I buy a new phone every two years. Android 2.0 is coming to the Hero. Will Nokia have an E72 update for E71 users?
@_kartik the N900 is a transition device for Maemo from Gtk to Qt. There's no bridge between the two. Wait and see what mayhem ensues.
@achitnis With a scratch magnet resistive touchscreen? No thanks. The device I want is the Droid.
@achitnis that's true of MS as well, but that's no reason to sit around waiting for the next version of Windows to finally be usable.
@achitnis and today's high-end is tomorrow's mid-range and day after tomorrow's low-end. where's the long term vision in losing that?
@gkjohn The retailer will unlock it for "should be Rs 500 extra, but rolled into the price of the device" as his offer. Mine works elsewhere
@achitnis what is the point of nokia's clout if they don't make a device i'd want to use today? and what of the clout of developer support?
@achitnis the Nokia 1200 series will sell even more. What's the point? They're not building any developer loyalty.
@achitnis what matters is that without developer loyalty, they're getting pushed out of the high end of the market, the most profitable bit.
@gkjohn @sankarshan Switch to Android, guys. Nokia is still floundering. No point blowing your money on them.
@gkjohn Are you getting too large for the house, or losing it?
@gkjohn INR can't be traded outside India, so no one comes here to raise money. But CNY can't be either, so Shanghai's inclusion is curious.

@arjunram 2.0 may be better. haven't seen that yet.
@arjunram it's already ahead on features but way behind on usability. no style guide enforcement == everyone does their own thing. 2.0
@arjunram look up the "intent" mechanism. Like Mac OS X Services, but better.
@arjunram Android is an open platform. The app market has no approval process and apps can talk to each other. No enforced style guide too.
@gkjohn nope, do share.
Some people think climate change is a hoax perpetrated by Al Gore, because he stands to gain a lot from his position of influence. *sigh*
@adityamishra Book exactly 24 hours in advance. no more, no less. Zainab tried booking for 10:30p, but they said they could only do 10:20p.
Chromium has had in-built GreaseMonkey support for a while now? Man, I'm loving this browser more and more each day.
@arjunram if you're a lay user, iPhone is way better. If you are a tinkerer, Android is way better.
@virsanghvi what's with the odd error message? it sours the experience. http://twitpic.com/qv966
