MobileLog
MobileLog is sort of a riff on the SmartSlate idea. When in video production, the time code is read from the deck onto your mobile. You log the best takes, outtakes, etc. When you're finished, it emails a batch list to Final Cut Pro, Avid, etc, that can be taken in and batch captured for the edit. Again, a very practical app, but no one's done it yet and it would be very popular. - Jaime Fowler
SmartSlate
SmartSlate is a mobile app that allows you to input data onto a slate when you record video, The data can be date, title, director, scene, take, camera, etc. But what makes the slate "smart" is that it can also read time code when using dual system filming. For example, if you record audio separate from video or film, the slate reads the audio time code and displays it on the slate so that visual can be synced with aural instantly. The app only needs to be able to read and display the machine code into visual numbers. The feed would be taken from the audio time code out of the deck. - Jaime Fowler
MyStuff
MyStuff uses the same chips as merchandise tags used in expensive clothing stores. These very small chips can be attached to all of the items that you regularly use. With MyStuff, you can point the phone at your backpack and identify whether or not everything you need is inside of it. For example, your laptop, your books, your mouse, etc. People often misplace things. MyStuff lets you point anywhere to determine where the object of your choosing exists within a given range. It helps you keep track of stuff using the chips and chip sensing software in the mobile. - Jaime Fowler
