"I disagree. The Bible was written by many different authors, over a much longer period of time (1600 years more or less). No other religious text really compares as a combination of literature, history, and poetry. Basically with other texts you have one author who promotes himself as the new connection to the divine, little to no history, less readership. Take it or leave it, the Hebrew scriptures, and to a lesser extent, the 'New Testament' are a wholly unique text, and are referenced, or at least respected, by so many religions that it's influence is greater than more obscure texts." - Jeremiah Taylor
