my main point is for the activity streams schema to get adopted, it needs to enable conversation. activity is not just publishing and consuming, but also responding. behind every single subject/verb/object triple, there’s an owner of the object — even if it’s just the same as the subject. this creates an implicit social connection between people. when there’s a social connection, we have a relationship. - Jared Hanson
