Re: Watch Bryan Mills Kill Everyone In The Taken 3 Trailer - http://www.cinemablend.com/new...
"Looks like this time they've TAKEN their time to do a good movie. I could watch Liam Neesom kick ass and spew cool till I'm in the grave, but I REALLY hope this is the last one. It's so easy for these franchises to devolve (look at the TRANSPORTER series), and I for one want to remember them as the action flicks no one thought could become a trilogy because IT WAS SO DAMN GOOD... If they do another I will be so TAKEN aback... I'll stop now." - Juan Carlo Rodríguez

Re: This Transformers Star Actually Wants Michael Bay To Direct Transformers 5 - http://www.cinemablend.com/new...
"Van Helsing is a guilty pleasure of mine, haven't seen Odd Thomas. Ah, but you make me ask another question: was the sleek look of the Transformers thanks to Michael Bay, or putting a guy like Sommers has an influence on the SFX?" - Juan Carlo Rodríguez

Re: This Transformers Star Actually Wants Michael Bay To Direct Transformers 5 - http://www.cinemablend.com/new...
"Wow I wasn't expecting such a passionate reply! Yes, of course I was joking, I may have lost faith in the guy, but compared to him, McG and Ratner are hacks (and Sommers, to a degree). And yes, Bay is 50% the reason these movies are what they are. But that's part of the problem: theye are such TRAINWRECKS. Please, someone give this to somebody new, I beg of you. I'm a huge Peter Cullen fan, but again, I say: just... NO." - Juan Carlo Rodríguez

"With all due respect to Peter Cullen: No. Just... No. I'd rather have McG or Brett Ratner. Hell, Stephen Sommers would be better." - Juan Carlo Rodríguez

"I saw this in a movie theater that no longer exists with a girl that is no longer in my life. It was the first DVD I ordered through Amazon. It remains the movie I watch when I'm depressed. I can't believe it's been 20 years, and it still remains my favorite movie ever." - Juan Carlo Rodríguez

Re: Disney's Jungle Book Snares Christopher Walken And Giancarlo Esposito - http://www.cinemablend.com/new...
"John Goodman voiced Baloo in straight-to-DVD "Jungle Book 2", so that's done and through. I'd say go new. I say H. Jon Benjamin, too. For a movie role, I think he's long overdue. If not him, then Jeff Bridges... The Dude. Now I ask, with this silly rhyming comment, how did I do?" - Juan Carlo Rodríguez

"Bolivar was such a badass, and I don't just say that because I'm Venezuelan, too. He doesn't deserve the Godlike treatment the government down here gives him, but hey: he was a brilliant strategist, spoke at least three languages, and womanized, boozed and fought all the way to liberating ALL of South America. I hear the crowds in Toronto gave it a standing ovation last year. And by now y'all should know Edgar Ramirez is great. This trailer pleasantly surprised me, I didn't know it was this grandiose. And I think Danny Houston makes any movie at least 23% better. Give this a chance, USA." - Juan Carlo Rodríguez

"I support the Ethan choice. Him and Derrickson already know each other, and that always counts. But I have a hard time picturing Hawke in a big cape, no matter how badass... Maybe they're using a newer version of the Strange uniform?" - Juan Carlo Rodríguez

Re: Why Is The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Opening Internationally First? - http://www.cinemablend.com/new...
"I'm pretty sure piracy has something to do with it as well. I live in Venezuela, and it's so bad here that many times you can see street peddlers showing the same stuff as the box office, for about half a ticket price or less, though there's always the risk that the movie will look like crap. Not easy for a serious collector, since it's been ages since a serious movie store has shown its face anywhere (I'm also surprised Netflix has lassted down here as long as it has). I imagine studios also want to minimize the damage in those markets where the movies apt to be bootlegged." - Juan Carlo Rodríguez
