This could be a nice article to present to teachers interested in using wikis in the classroom. Look at the embedded link of the wiki board

The idea for the poster was based on the children’s board game Chutes and Ladders, which moves players from square to square with occasional sliding past a few squares via a chute. The three stages through which the wiki poster moves are design, implement and sustain, with the last stage providing the biggest challenge.

free show by walking the streets of a small town in France ~ strolling along and playing his guitar and singing. At one point he stopped and jammed with a woman who was playing some type of violin like instrument. Pretty interesting video ~ original idea.

Imagine hundreds of thousands of great short videos, and other media, explaining every topic taught to school kids. Imagine them rated and sorted into a giant Directory, making them simple to find. WatchKnow--as in, "You watch, you know"--is a non-profit online community devoted to this goal

Love the bullet points: Questions for Will Richardson for TODAY 1. Why don't we have an IEP for every child and every teacher 2. Why doesn't every child have a laptop or netbook with 24/7 access to tutorials, info, and productivity tools for all learners

just watched Marzano's presentation where he addresses the question "What do we know about the effect of technology on student achievement?" at the CUE 2009 Conference on March 6, 2009. This slide share is a nice support to that presentation with real examples that we teachers could use.

At the heart of the TPACK framework, is the complex interplay of three primary forms of knowledge: Content (CK), Pedagogy (PK), and Technology (TK)

a good list of books that I use in fifth grade with an extensive list of internet links to go along with the books. Maniac Magee, Freak the Mighty, Number the Stars, Bud, Not Buddy are just a few examples. via Dodie

Last night at our schools Fall Party a group of students I had last year showed up. I asked one of my students I had last year, "so, have you found any good websites lately?" And he mentioned "Kiva" a site he has been using in one of his middle school classes. The irony is that I woke up this morning to find it in my Google Reader via David Jakes.
