Wii ordered. Yay!

Make sure you watch it in 1080p. Very cool in high res. - Joe Beda ()
Awesome! - Jeff P. Henderson
Which will last longer: this meeting or my iPhone battery.
I think the meeting is winning. - Joe Beda () from iPhone
At Seattle City Council meeting to try to stop an offramp where my house is. Civics!
Theo just spit out some bacon. Is he mine?

The puns on "How It's Made" are soooo bad.

It looks nice. - Gary Burd
Only thing to mention is that it has no garage. I would miss that. Our current place has a 2 car garage on an alley. - Joe Beda ()
Wow, it looks really nice. I'd buy it. - Paul Buchheit
Does it have offstreet parking? - Gary Burd
I like your current house better. - Scott Ludwig
I think that this house has a single car wide dive way in the back. So, you could park multiple cars in tandem. But it backs on to a busy street. - Joe Beda ()
I want to downsize to a tiny house -- easier to clean. :-) - Matt Armstrong
The outside picture is very Magrittesk .. too much photoshopping ;) - Henner Zeller
Just toured it. Not so much. Main floor was amazing. Upstairs had 5 small bedrooms that shared one bathroom. Top floor was semi-finished and the basement not at all. Oh well. - Joe Beda ()
That's in my neighborhood - sorta. I personally wouldn't want to live adjacent to 24th with the traffic and that busy intersection. It's also on the NE side of a hill in Seattle which means not so much sun. I live East of the crest of the hill and that's bad enough. - Hayes Haugen
This guy needs some work but it's a great location: http://www.redfin.com/WA... - Hayes Haugen

Police: Drunk 'ninja' impaled on First Hill fence post
"The man's ninja skills, it seems, were bested by the 4- to 5-foot-tall fence he attempted to vault, according to the police statement. He ended up stuck on a spike atop the fence in the 600 block of Seventh Avenue." - Joe Beda () from Bookmarklet
Missed it ;) - Joe Beda ()
Alway fun to listen to MS employees talk to each other on SJC to SEA.
What do they talk about? - Gary Burd
How bad their marketing is. - Joe Beda () from iPhone
I flew back early from goocamp so I could do my daddy duties. Totally worth it. :)
What is goocamp? - Gary Burd
Perhaps I've said too much ;) Think FooCamp for Google employees. Very cool. - Joe Beda ()
What's FooCamp? - Rochelle
Foocamp is Friends of O'Reilly Camp. - Gary Burd
It follows the unconference pattern: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... - Joe Beda () from iPhone

The best part about going to Redmond is the taco truck in the gas station parking lot.
On 148th and 24th? There's one in Kirkland now too, at the Chevron across from Peter Kirk park. - Moishe Lettvin
The best taco truck in western WA is the one on 45th in the parking lot of the old Henry's Donuts in Seattle! - Rochelle
Yeah. The one on 148th is better than the one on 45th I think. :) - Joe Beda () from iPhone
The one on 45th near Dicks is good for sure. Also had good stuff from the new place in the old KFC in Pike/Pine. - Hayes Haugen
Joe, you should try the "taco bus" on Rainier & MLK in Seattle. The carnitas tacos are so good that I no longer crave SoCal tacos. http://www.deliciousbaby.com/journal... - Peyman

Guilty pleasure: reading mini-msft. Oh the Schadenfreude.
Same here. Don't know why I'm so drawn to it. - Moishe Lettvin
iPhone fixed! Woohoo!
The company made me change my password. I hate having to retrain my fingers.
iPhone digitizer repair did not go well. Phone broke, more parts coming.
I left my Kindle on the British Airways flight back from London. Left message with lost-and-found twice with no call back. Boo.
Ouch, sorry to hear it. - Scott Ludwig
Time change means theo and I are up at 5am.
Ug. Vertical strip on iPhone digitizer isn't working. Get to try my hand at iPhone surgery.
We told Annie that in 2 days the Halloween witch comes and steals the leftover candy. Is that mean?
It's only mean if you eat the leftover candy. - Gary Burd
Don't do evil. - Henner Zeller
You won't know for 20 years. - Hayes Haugen
Kids aren't very good at accounting when they're all wacked out on high fructose corn syrup. My mom used to steal small amounts of candy from my stash as I ate it, so I thought I was consuming the whole lot, and didn't even notice the missing pieces. Also, I still love my mom. - Bill Strathearn
Children need to bring their A game to accounting. - Hayes Haugen
I know someone who introduced the concept of 'taxes' to his kid with candy charge to be delivered to the parents. The very first year (kid was very young), the tax was 100%. - Henner Zeller
Okay Gary. Where am I now? :)

What the heck is 'brown sauce'?
photo.jpg
It's brown sauce - tastes like um. Brown. I don't like it that much. The branded version is HP Sauce, which is loved my everyone in the UK apart from me it seems. - Rich
I can't help but think it is made of pureed ups delivery guys. Thanks for clearing it up! - Joe Beda () from iPhone
Essence of Umami - LogEx
POO - Rochelle
It's the same as steak sauce I think, usually put inside bacon butties here in the UK :) - Charlotte M
I don't think I want to know... - Jeff P. Henderson
Having lived in both the US and UK, "Brown Sauce" or "HP Sauce" in the UK tastes nearly identical to "A-1 Steak Sauce" in the US. - Glen Campbell, B.A.
I do love me some A1 steak sauce on hamburgers... But "brown sauce" just sounds unappetizing. - Otto
I think I saw an episode of 'Dirty Jobs' that involved brown sauce. ;-) - Herb Hernandez
For that matter, what is salad cream? - Curtiss Grymala
I know of the fact that salad cream exists, but I've never tried it or actually seen it in a store in the USA. I'd probably prefer mayo anyway. Wikipedia tells me that it is "boiled egg yolks, mustard, vinegar, and cream". - Otto
Brown sauce is the only possible condiment for bacon. Get real US people!! - David Semeria
It's made out of feces. - Dave Winer
I've heard about this Brown Sauce for years. Now it's time to try some - I've just ordered some from Amazon: http://bit.ly/2laHhs They even have Salad Cream and I guess I'll have to try that too. - Drew
I did not think FreindFeeders would be so closed minded. Brown sauce is the blue collar term for a version of what Canadians call Steak Sauce. Usually it's a blend of molasses, vinegar, dates, sugar and spices. In the UK "HP" is the favoured brand. Personally I find it unpleasant as it's dominated by a vinegar-y taste. It's competitor , Daddies, is far smoother. - Liam Hemmings
Oh yeah and salad cream....well as long as I can remember that's been a market dominated by Heinz...a US company. I love it. Poor man's mayo, sweet, sour and creamy. - Liam Hemmings
Brown Sauce is great for eggs too. I love a fried egg sandwich smothered in brown sauce. - Matthew Neale
Brown Sauce is a British Institution - can't be faulted - sofiagk
Salad cream is a dairy-free emulsion invented as a cheap alternative to mayonnaise. Both salad cream and Brown sauce are vile-tasting concoctions and there is no reason for them to exist in this modern, enlightened age. ;-) - Slippy "Threadsbane" Lane
Ok. So salad cream sounds almost like Miracle Whip. Over here in the U.S., they usually either refer to it as Miracle Whip, or sometimes just "salad dressing" (not sure what, as that certainly gets confusing). - Curtiss Grymala
Ahh... Okay then, Mayo is far superior to Miracle Whip (or generic "salad dressing"), so if that's what it is, then I'm not interested in it. Mayonnaise forever! As for "brown sauce", I'm guessing that it tastes similar to the knockoff brands of A1 Steak Sauce, which are all crap. A1 Steak Sauce is the only steak sauce worth a damn. A1 forever! :) - Otto
http://bit.ly/11FyP7 Man! Amazon shipped the sauce fast. OK, so after the first taste I have to say that it tastes like A1, but slightly less flavorful and more tart. It's pretty good! - Drew
Where am I? Gary?

Bath. - Gary Burd
WTF. How did you know that? - Joe Beda () from iPhone
Gary always gets these. - Bruce Lewis
LOL! Gary's really good at this game. - April Buchheit
Hey I was going to say Bath. I'm serious. It's that courtyard that's in every Jane Austen movie. - anna sauce
I didn't comment b/c I thought it was an inside joke </shame> - anna sauce
the give away is the gentle arch to the line of the block- classical influenced late 1700s architecture- in costuming it's "empire," not sure what it is in architecture. Regency? - anna sauce
It's Georgian architecture. I believe that is the Circus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki.... - Nick Lothian
