The critics are wrong here. An effigy more than a movie, it screamed "art film" way too loudly, trying to be ephemeral and quirky even though it didn't have anything to say. I fast forwarded through a third of it. There were some beautiful scenes and a few moments of interesting characters but mostly it felt like they were just making it up as they went along, like some sort of acting exercise. Mostly watched New Years 2008. - Martin Kelley

And isn’t the virtue and practice of forgiveness the very thing that was missing from a nation blindly attacked by terrorists? We, the church and we, the United States, could not respond in forgiveness, because we do not live lives of forgiveness on a daily basis. Forgiveness is not a regular part of our language, culture and habit as Americans. - Martin Kelley
