@Bill - I think this makes sense. The democratic platform tends to favor public projects like education and mass transit, which make more sense in densely populated areas. - Robert Felty

Public transportation makes less sense in rural areas. I should have come up with some better examples. A few others: sewer systems, curb-side recycling. Fortunately though, we have different levels of government, which helps eliminate some of these problems. - Robert Felty
