@Zadi there was 1 GOP yes.
shit when was the last time I sat around with my friends to watch c-span? uh, never. #YEAHwaytogoHouse
39 democrats voted no healthcare, and still we get some! :)
@Ryanne How long will this go on? When do they vote on the the real bill? Or debate it? Did I miss that?
@Ryanne And this vote was caused by the people who claim that having the govt make medical decisions for people is terrible, terrible thing.
@Ryanne Can you believe we are watching Congress vote on whether or not women will have access to abortion services?
@missbhavens They know it. They aren't ignorant. They are posing. And lying.
@charleshope The GOP is pouting incredible lies. Of course. Just crazy wrong 'facts'.
Watching the debate before the healthcare bill votes. It's hard to watch people stand there and lie, lie, lie for money.
@Ryanne I found it on msnbc. The irony.
@Ryanne what c-span feed are you watching? Is there any that will work on our computers?
If I want to watch my government in action, I have to have either Real Player or Windows Media Player? http://is.gd/4PSvb #giantfail
RT @webchick: Want to help with #Drupal 7? The UX team's biggest priorities: http://www.bojhan.nl/drupal-...
@mortendk charge hourly, not project. Then you won't care about creeping features.
Really, the culture of sharing and doing business in open source web design/development is the most :) field I've ever seen. Truly fun.
I've worked in a lot of fields: pro theater, non-profit management/activism, university teaching, printing… but opensource tech is the best.
Yeah Drupal geeks. Review my patch would you? http://drupal.org/node... It's cool. #d4d #drupal
OGM, I just got my post-sick appetite back with a vengance.
@kaboogie I do believe U.S. culture values U.S. lives more than others. 3,000 dead on 9/11 gets more sympathy than 1 million dead in Iraq.
@groby I'm not blaming all troops. No. I'm blaming the war machine. Or not even blaming. Just noticing the double standards.
The news is wondering if this is an act of terrorism? No people, this would be (if it is) an act of _war_.
Not only are U.S. troops killing people from other countries, they are already killing each other, in other countries. #warsucks
Because this shooting happened inside the U.S. it's big news. But it's been happening for 9 years. We did not care before now?
@groby People get killed because of war. I do believe the 3 wars we are in are at fault.
@kaboogie I mean for it to be a frustrated comment on how people here value American lives way more than other lives in Iraq & elsewhere
@groby Having a military doesn't cause terrorism, agreed. But going to war causes war. Post traumatic stress. Anger> shooting. Fighting back
@groby I'm not callous. I think it's horrific. And I think it's just as horrific when a family is shot to death in Iraq by our troops.
@groby I believe that violence creates more violence. War creates more war. Peace won't get rid of all death, but it's a better start.
@groby If we weren't training people for war and buying billions $ weapons, this probably wouldn't have happened.
